The Mercedes 107SL was introduced in 1971 and continued along the same basic design principals as the 113 "Pagoda" but was a little bigger and more portly than the "Pagoda". The disappearing hood mechanism. with the removable hard-top. remained and the engine options now included the 3. 5 litre V8. which powered the new saloon range.

The 107SL was a hugely successful model. which remained in production for 18 years. largely unchanged. Engine options expanded to include a 2. 8 and in 1986 a 3. 0 straight six and V8's. which expanded to 5. 6 litre by the end of the production run in 1989. when it was replaced by the new 129SL.

Originally supplied by Alan Day Ltd in North London. this 1982 Mercedes SL380 comes with a wealth of history and old MOTs which would appear to back up it's low mileage. It is generally in good condition and whilst it would benefit from some cosmetic tidying. it drives very well and has recently had a brand new hood fitted. It is supplied with a hard top for winter months and has a long MOT running until June next year. A model that is certainly appreciating. finding such low mileage examples is becoming harder and harder - surely a car with investment potential.
