With early. tax exempt. Range Rovers now commanding over £20. 00. collectors are now turning to the last of the Classics and one of the most desirable of these is the 4. 2 LSE. Introduced in 1971. the Range Rover changed the 4 x 4 world at a stroke. With its dual purpose abilities and outstanding off-road capabilities. it consigned many of its competitors to the history books overnight.

We all know the history of the Range Rover. as it went from farmer's carry-all to Chelsea tractor but in 1994/95. the old Classic design was consigned to the history books. to be replaced by a cleaner. sleeker model but the true Range Rover enthusiast was not impressed and the Classic actually became a classic.

The vendor states that this car was built on the 1st July 1980. and sent to Italy where it was used for some 10 years. It then came back to the UK in 1990 and has since had only 3 former keepers. The car is in very good solid condition. not requiring any structural welding or significant bodywork. It would benefit from having new paintwork and a retrim. Some would say it has a. "shabby chic" look. The car drives very well indeed and could be used as is. A very nice usable every day classic. the perfect use as is or restoration project.
