Here is my CJ2A for your consideration. I custom built the body. painted it myself (it's not perfect. i am a novice painter but i get alot of compliments on it. it was supposed to be grey but turned out the off white as you see) and the inside is coated with diy bedliner and the bottom side with POR15. wheelwells were done in diy bedliner also to prevent star bursts in the paint on the top side. The cowl section is the only part that's '47. from the dash back including the floor braces (1x2" tubing) it's all brand new tin. Front clip. windshield frame and tail gate are MD Juan parts. There is a few waves in the body sides so you know. the originals weren't perfect and neither is this. The roof. doors and rear hatch are early '50s Kelly Iron Works pieces. All are rust free. they were in storage for many years before i bought it. I used the original glass which looks to be dated 1952(?). they do have scratches and blems in them from over the years. I sourced new rubber for the window seals and new channels for the door glass. The door windows roll up and down fine and the locks work great. yes i have the keys for them so the interior can be secured. I also painted the roof and it's components in pure white myself. again i am a novice painter. they aren't perfect. Both the body and roof could likely be wet sanded if you wish. I built the Jeep to be a driver. not a highly detailed show piece. although some beg to differ. Autometer gauges are used in the sotck sized holes in the dash. I located an original Harrison heater unit. had a new core made and installed a late model Honda Accord blower motor with squirrel cage. it blows alot more heat out than it ever did before. I still utilize a foot starter switch. Yes you still sit on the gas tank too.

The engine was a brand new Chevy crate 350 290 horsepower a year ago. I've only put 2150 miles on the engine since i installed it last summer. I replaced the camshaft with a Howard's Racing Cams roller unit. it's pretty mild but still makes a good rumble out the single 3" exhaust. I had a custom 2. 5" cross over pipe made. There is no room for duals. besides i wanted the exhaust to come out in the stock location. Exhaust manifolds are new repop 'Vette 2. 5" outlet Ramhorns.  Roller tip rocker arms by Comp Cams are used also. The Edelbrock dual quad intake and dual 500cfm carbs were brand new last year too with progressive linkage. Choke is manual.  Ignition is a Delco points type distributor updated with a Pertronix kit. coil and hi po plug wires that look like stock GM pieces. The engine runs very well. no odd noises. just gets up and goes like a bat outta. I installed a brand new aluminum Griffin rad this spring to keep this beast cool. An 11" clutch is used and is mated to a mid '60s SM420 tranny that works pretty good. The rear axle is a '78 AMC20 unit that came out of a CJ5 Jeep. it has 3:07 gears and i installed one piece axle shafts. The front axle is a '79 Postal Jeep and it does have the big drum brakes also. Braking system is a dual system and is manual. It stops pretty good. i've never had any fade issues. The fronts do need to be adjusted now and again so it stops straight. Yes this Jeep is 2WD only. The rims are Dodge 1/2 ton p/u with the centres trimmed to fit the big Jeep hubs. The tires have lots of tread left and are just starting to get weather ckecked.

There is a PTO unit on the back and yes it is hooked up to the SM420 tranny. The frame in this Jeep appears to be an early CJ3A unit. it's in great condition.

I bought this Jeep 10 years ago. it took me a year to build it. then i've added and subtracted on it over the years since. When first built it did have a soft top on it. i sold it and installed the hard top. The holes from the button snaps are still in the body and some do show. i filled them with paint to more or less blend them. The dual spotlights both work. I will install both doors and the rear hatch when the Jeep is sold for shipping.

*The hand held spotlight in the right rear corner of the Jeep does NOT come with the Jeep. *

I'm still driving the Jeep on nice days only so the mileage will go up. right now it's at 17. 37 miles. The speedometer was replaced when i rebuilt the Jeep. the mileage was at zero at that time 10 years ago. It has only travelled 17. 37 miles in 10 years. It is insured and licensed right now in my name.

I'm selling this Jeep as is where is.

On 13-Aug-15 at 20:03:32 EDT. seller added the following information:

I recently drove the Jeep almost 300 miles one weekend doing 60mph alot of the time and found it was getting approx 18. 5mpg. I took it to an all Mopar show the next weekend and it won the best Jeep award. When i built the Jeep all the suspension was replaced with news parts- springs. shocks etc. All new brakes were installed. all 4 balljoints replaced. tie rod ends etc. I converted it to saginaw steering this past winter. used a new steering box and modified the stock Willys style steering column to work with the new setup up. i used Sweet Manufacturing u-joints. It's a great running little Jeep. i know i'll miss it but it's time for something else.
