For sale today is a rare example of the final evolution of the Porsche 944 series. Supposedly just 16 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolets were produced for the US/Canada market in 1989. Porsche engineered and designed a convertible sports car with great performance using the latest technology available in 1989.
The power (208 hp) and good torque make it a blast to drive on the highway. or better yet on a twisting mountain road where its front engine design with a 50/50 weight ratio provides great handling. It will handle better than most of its contemporary rear-engine 911 big brothers. This performance comes from a powerful 16-valve 3. 0L 4-cylinder engine that propels the car to a top speed of 239 km/h (149 mph) and still gets gas mileage around 24 mpg (9. 8L/100km) on regular unleaded.
They are a bargain to buy right now. and potentially a future collector car because of low production.  In total. around 2. 00 944 S2 Cabriolets were imported to the US/Canada market over the three years. You will not likely see another 944 S2 Cabriolet on the road.  
This particular Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet was one of the very few delivered new into Canada in 1989. It sold new in Ontario and was kept in like-new condition to this day. The odometer reads just over 100. 00 km (63. 00 miles). but the car looks like it just came off the showroom floor. It is fitted with almost every option available. right down to the lettering “16 Ventiler” on the side. It has heated leather seats (front left and right). ABS. alarm. cruise control. a Blaupunkt ‘Reno' radio. protective side moldings. and headlight washers. A copy of the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity comes with the car and verifies production details and colours. History:
This 1989 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet has just two documented owners from new. both local to Ottawa. ON.  It was delivered on January 15th. 1991 to Porsche Mark Motors in Ottawa. Ontario.  A month later on February 15th. dealer owner Michael Mark sold the car locally to a young officer in the Canadian Forces. During the early years of his career. he traveled between bases frequently. always driving his Porsche. His main posts were Ottawa and CFB Gagetown. New Brunswick. This can explain the otherwise confusing service history. The warranty book shows service carried out at Porsche Mark Motors in Ottawa and Alpine Motors in Saint John and one service at Porsche of Halifax. Although no service documents remain from that era. all services are logged with stamps in the warranty book.  It should be noted that the Canadian Forces Officer who owned the vehicle during this time received the Meritorious Service Medal. an award for highly professional acts that benefit the Canadian Forces. and has only been issued to 568 people.
In June 2005 Creighton sold the car locally. in Ottawa. to Wade Cuthbertson.  From purchase to present Cuthbertson kept all service service documents. most services being carried out at the original dealer. Porsche Mark Motors in Ottawa.
In December of 2013. this 944 was traded in to the original dealership. Porsche Mark Motors of Ottawa. It was then thoroughly inspected upon arrival in Victoria. passing all MOT requirements in June 2014.

The car is advertized locally. We reserve the right to end the listing if the vehicle is no longer available for sale.
