MG C GT

MG C GT. I am listing this for a friend. if you have any questions please call Richard on 07704351817. Rare opportunity to own a rare appreciating classic car. This MGC GT was restored to a high standard 10 years ago. Richard has all the photos showing the restoration progress.
Bodywork. The car had new front wings. complete cills both sides. and a new bonnet. It was professionally painted in its original snow berry white. The underside was completely stripped. stone chipped. painted and waxoyled. However the drivers door has a small dent in it. can just be seen in the pictures.
Interior. The car had a new carpet set. leather seats. and still looks fantastic today.
Engine. The engine was sent to Mansfield engine center whom used to rebuild engines for a firm called big healey. The rebuild included a rebore with new pistons. new big end and little end bearings. Crank reground and new bearings. New oil pump. Cylinder head converted to unleaded. He has all the documents and receipts to prove. It runs with good oil pressure no knocks rattles etc and no smoke.  
Gearbox and Rear Axle. This MGC has overdrive fitted giving long legged gearing. The gearbox and overdrive were given fresh oil.  Its very quiet and the overdrive comes in strong and smooth. The rear axle was removed painted given new oil and new oil seals.  Suspension and brakes. The car was rebuilt with all new suspension bushes. new spax shocks on the front. A thicker anti roll bar. New quick steering rack. New rear springs.  It had all new brake pipes. A new servo. All calipers reconditioned with new seals and pistons. EBC green stuff pads in the front. This car handles and stops better than when new.
Other items of note. Free road tax. MOT until June 2014This car has also been fitted with an electronic ignition kit. New galvanized petrol tank. New wiring loom. Its has a full stainless steel exhaust. sounds amazing. 72 spoke wire wheels. Also spare is the same. It has a large history file and a heritage certificate to confirm its origins.
The car drives faultlessly in every way. and has been a pure delight everytime i have driven it. I have had the pleasure of being on several trips to Europe with Richard in this car. It has proved itself to be excellent grand tourer.  Its in excellent condition throughout and will be a delight to its new owner.
