1951 FORD F 6
This 1951 Ford F 6 is a "COE" cab over engine Truck. manufactured in the USA. It was originally from upper state New York where it served as a fire truck. The 10. 00 miles reading on the odometer are ORIGINAL!As you can hear from the videos the Engine starts and purrs as such. The 239 cu. in V 8 Flathead has never been opened up and is mated to a 4 speed Manual with 2 speed Rear-end. Their is a vacuum knob on the dash that switches the rear-end over to the 2 nd set of gears.
The starter has been changed over to a "negative ground" 12 volt system. which can be easily reverted back to the original "positive ground" 6 volt while the rest of the truck still operates under its original 6 volt system. (Their are 2 batteries now. one for starting
the
truck only with a 12 V and the other for running the truck with a 6 V) The old "positive ground" 6 volt system often didn't have enough juice to get the truck started and often just drained the battery down. the 12 volt system makes it easier to start and is needed if the truck isn't driven daily.
The F 6 was restored at some point. at which the water tanker on the rear was replaced for a flat deck. The boardsare oak. The paint has a few runs in some areas and the odd small knicks. regardless the paint is still fair and shows well. The underside chassis is clean as are the inner venders. the photos will show this. Their is NO rust or rot!
This Truck is an absolute Solid driver.
For Importing the truck to the States
The truck will have NO duties or fees. as it was originally manufactured in the USA. The truck is
FREE
of federal emission standards as it was manufactured before December 31 st 1967.
All you need are the EPA and DOT forms. the forms have a category for "exempt"
