1967 Austin Healey Mk III
Launched in 1963 the 3000 Mark III remained in production until the end of 1967. when Austin-Healey manufacture ceased
The 2+2 Mark III was the most powerful and luxurious of the big Healeys. with a standard walnut-veneer dash. wind-up windows. and a 150 hp (112 k W) engine. Added power came from a new camshaft and valve springs. twin SU 2" HD 8 carburetors. and new of exhaust system design. Servo-assisted brakes were also standard.
It is very clear that our 3000 Mk III has had the benefit of considerable time and effort spent in refurbishing and renewing in extraordinary detail. Equally obvious is the care with which the car has been used. It is presented today in truly exceptional order.
On the road performance is sublime. Controls are light and easy to manage and the engine purrs. All instruments function correctly and register within tolerance. In short. this is a road ready example offering a drive away opportunity to be enjoyed in le long summer ahead.
A substantial file of documentation accompanies the car.
