Selling my 1990 ZR1.  I have owned this car for the last 2 years after having purchased this car from the estate of the original owner.  The car is in very good overall condition. but is not a show car. rather a nice driver quality original car.  It has just over 65000 original miles (107000 KM) and has lived all of its life in and around Toronto Canada.  Original LT5 motor producing 375 HP. the original "King of the Hill" car that is a hell of a lot of fun to drive. Always stored inside and never winter driven this car has absolutely no rust and no modifications beyond tinted windows.  I have not had to do any major service to the car beyond regular oil changes and such.  Unfortunately the original owner passed away suddenly and his kids could only find limited service records etc. to give me when I bought it.  I will include everything I have for the car along with the original owners manual.  I will try to describe the car as honestly as possible so the new owner has no surprises. the car is 25 years old and not perfect.
The car drives very well and lays down its power nicely.  No issues with the transmission. shifting through all gears easily.  The tires are in very good condition with lots of tread left. but they are now nearly 10 years old.  The car cranks a second or two long at start up when it has sat for a few days. but always starts.  The car leaks no fluids at all.  Air conditioning works perfectly. as does the climate control.  Power windows. and drivers seat work perfectly. but the passenger power seat does not move.  Drivers seat bolster is a little worn. you really need to drop into this car so it is rather unavoidable. Radio does not work. antenna goes up. but does not come down without a guiding hand. so will need to be replaced.  The valet key that switches the engine to full power has stopped working. leaving the car with only its reduced power and will need to be replaced.  It did work up until last fall. but had been very sensitive requiring only the slightest turn of the key until the yellow full engine power light turned on. ahhh GM electronics. The car is so fun. if a little scary. at full power. On the rather Kitt looking 1990's information screen a warning light is on.  It is for the left front crash sensor which I understand can become corroded over time and will need to be replaced. There is evidence of some poor paint work on the back of the car which you can see in the picture of the rear. I was told the original owner scratched the rear fascia and obviously taped it off and spray painted it himself which looks pretty crappy from 5 feet away.  He also blacked out the ZR1 logo on the bumper but I have a replacement red one if you prefer that look.  There is also a small area on the drivers side rear quarter panel behind the rear tire that has thick paint that was poorly applied.  You only really notice it in direct sunlight. but it does indicate some body work was done.  I ran a Carproof report (Like Carfax in Canada) and it came out clear. so I imagine it was only cosmetic work that was done.  Brakes and suspension work as they should with no issue. Glass is in perfect condition.  Windscreen is original and in mint condition. The car does come with two tops.  Matching solid black top and a clear top.  I don't recommend driving without the top on.  The car does start to rattle and you can really feel the body twist without the extra stability of the roof.  The car drives great with the top on and is surprisingly quiet. The original muffler does not give a hint to the power that is under the hood.  It is a great fun car for not a lot of money.
