Porsche : 911 S Silver Anniversary Edition #396 Rust Free

Great time to purchase this Silver Anniversary Edition #396 winter project.

Motor threw a rod and will need total rebuild with new block (great candidate for a 3. 0/3. 2Ltransplant).

Very complete car (easy refurb. refresh. hotrod or total resto).

Clean / clear California title.

Extremely solid rust free car. Very straight with one high level repaint in it's original Silver (paint code #936) (door jams and trunk are original paint still). Looks great. however has just enough storage dings. scratches and holes from removed Turbo tail to require a repaint. No evidence of accidents. corrosion or rust.

Interior is all original and very rare silver anniversary tweed. Even the carpets are original and unfaded/worn. Seam splits could be mended with new bolster material on front seats and tweed preserved. Rear seats are perfect. Great headliner. Better than average original dash. Correct anniversary dash plaque model #396 still in place and looks great.

All chrome and brightwork in excellent condition.

Car sat for about 4 years but no brake seize is present and car rolls freely.

Very RARE model and impossible outside CA to find in this remarkably solid condition.

Car has a/c but compressor removed. Smog pump. fan blower. nbsp;and other items from motor have also been removed. All of these items including compressor are included but the lower valve covers and passenger side timing chain cover were misplaced somewhere along the way.

PPI welcomed and encouraged.
