The original Porsche 911. with its famous and durable design. br/>was introduced in the autumn of 1963 and built until 1989.
Mechanically. it was notable for being rear-engined and air-cooled.
From its inception. the 911 was modified both by private racing
teams and the Porsche factory itself for racing. rallying and other
competition. The original 911 series is often cited as the most
successful sports/racing car ever. especially when its variations
are included namely the powerful 911-derived 935 which won Le Mans
as well as other major sports cars races. In 1967. Porsche
introduced the 911 T model and subsequently a 911 E version. however
the 911 S was the most desirable and with only 3. 74 Porsche 911 S's
manufactured. good quality surviving examples are rare and highly
collectable.
Originally registered on 19 th February 1974. this is a genuine
matching numbers UK supplied righthand drive example. The extensive
history file shows photographic evidence of an engine rebuild as
well as the bodywork being restored. This 2. 7 S produces 175 bhp and
drives extremely well with no known faults. The fastidious vendor
has owned this 911 S for five years and the owner prior to him was
the custodian for ten years. Fitted with the original Fuch alloys
and a sunroof. we are advised the original steering wheel will be
supplied with the car. The documentation for TUT 373 M includes a
Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. a V 5 registration document. br/>original service book and literature pack together with an Mo T test
certificate valid until May 2015 (with no advisories). This rare
