Jeep : CJ base

This CJ 5 has been in the family for about 10 years. It has served as a recreational vehicle for us on a few camping trips and lake trips and such. it has been primarily in Nevada where my uncle lives. It has not been used most of this year and we have decided to get a newer 4 door Jeep. It is plated and titled in Nevada but the plates are currently out of date. we uninsured it and pretty much parked it.

It is a original 304 V 8. 3 speed manual feel good and tight. clutch in good shape. it has headers. true dual cherry bomb exhaust. recent steering gearbox. and runs really well. it passes emissions. has heavy duty ignition wires and MSD blaster coil. It does not leak or burn any oil. The tires are pretty new. at least 80% tread. rims were purchased with tires. tires are 33 x 12. 5 x 15. I have a small stack of receipts for it. it was always taken care of. It is pretty clean. straight body. super clean floor pans and seats which are about 4 years old. center console has 12 v power. CD player was just replaced. has a USB charging port. 2 speakers mounted to the back fenders. Fire extinguisher. just in case. mounted to roll cage. Cage was built buy a professional. looks great. CB mounted to top center is old and does work but I would replace it if I was keeping it.

Has rancho shocks and steering stabilizer. there is no lift on it. there is a rear lock rite locker. all the gages work. though the gas gage is moody. some of the back lights for the gages do not work. head lights and tail lights work. it doesn't need much of anything. it does have some body rust. there are small holes at the kick panel area. the rear by the tire swing hinges. they are about the size of a quarter. I think 5 holes all together. but one was put there for a side mount antennae. It also comes with a set of full soft doors that we bought a while back. but the latches for them that go on the Jeep are needed to use them.

i consider it reliable although we usually tow it to location and the drive it on local roads. never left us stranded though. it is available to see most any time. it is right near the phx airport.

I am adding newer pictures. I remembered the emergency brake does not work. there were new axles put in and the backing plates were put on the wrong sides so the e- brake will not connect. It is dirty from the mud puddles. most of the dirt in pictures will wash off.
