It's rumored. Walter P. Chrysler chose the name Plymouth to exemplify "the endurance and strength" of the Pilgrims who first landed on the shores of their new world in 1620.   Driving and looking at this  Road King Two Door "Touring" Sedan P7 pretty much mirrors this statement.  Its well built. and certainly rugged. having survived 75 years of existence with who knows??. how many owners over the decades. Historically. I'm sure there are many rich and fun stories that follow this car.
Originating from a Estate. having sat dormant and in hibernation since its last known registration in 1993. (21 years)  based on the antique plate affixed to it when I purchased and resurrected it. it represents an older in what appears to be a complete. overall restoration. inclusive of its mechanicals.
be a rebuilt 201 cubic inch L Head inline six cylinder engine. with a rated 82 horsepower. its starts. nbsp;runs and drives with no unusual noises. eaks. vibration. or smoke. Its transmission. with now the first year of machined steel gears. propels it nicely . reasonably. nd quietly down the road.
Its rich Aviation Blue finish is somewhat showing its age with some minor. almost imperceptible checking on the tops of the rear fenders. some minor bubbling on the lower valance below the bumper. nd three very small areas of  bubbling to the two doors at the lower front sections nearest to the running boards. barely noticeable. The Road King maintains solid. frame. loors. ocker panels. door and trunk lid bottoms. trunk. suspension. and most sheet metal overall with no evidence of metal patching.  Stainless trim is in excellent condition.  A consistent application of Carnauba wax has maintained the luster. and finish integrity without any changes.  The Road King is very solid. in nice condition. and shows quite nicely as a highly respectable . river quality car.
The bias ply whitewall tires are in nice condition. and quiet when driving. nbsp;however are older with no evidence of cracking.  The Road King tracks very nicely with no evidence of alignment issues. or excessive steering play.
The Road Kings interior is in excellent condition. with no apparent rips or tears.  Its glass is equally as nice with the exception of a approximately one inch crack at the base of the left rear window.
All the controls. and lights. function as originally designed. however the speedometer/odometer does not accurately represent the correct speed and accrued mileage. however is fully functional.  "No officer. I wasn't speeding. it read only 30 mph. "  Translated:   It registers slower than actual speed.  Air conditioning is provided by "AIR 60". in other words open the Cowl Vent and windows at 60 mph. Well sort of.   The unique. architecturally interesting" integrated" headlamps were the first year for Plymouth as was the statuesque front grill. giving it a bold. attractive.  and graceful frontal appearance.
Recent servicing includes a oil change with Pennzoil 10/30 with ZDDP additive (zinc/Phosphate). coolant flush (correct green). gear oils replacement. new spark plugs. points and condenser. complete chassis lubrication. four wheel brake inspection and adjustment and brake fluid flush (its hydroscopic) etc.   I'm sure I left something out here.
The P7 Road King is fitted with bias ply 3" whitewall tires with almost new tread. however they are older. but not cracked.   It steers and tracks nicely with no apparent issues. clunks. noises. or unusual vibrations.
In conclusion. as previously mentioned. please keep in mind this is a 75 year old car. not concourse by any means. but a highly respectable driver quality two door touring sedan which is simply a joy. and a lot of fun to drive.   The Road King will be sold as is. where is with no warranty expressed or implied.  I strongly suggested buyers. or their agents.  inspect the Road King prior to sale.  Expectations differ for everyone. and I wish to have a happy and satisfied buyer. with full disclosure following purchase.  The text and pictures herein cannot realistically describe every nuance and detail of this fun car. Inspections as a condition of sale after auction end will not be permitted.  Kindly do you due diligence beforehand.

Thank you for the interest. and enjoy the pictures. (Note: the forward facing. displaying the left side picture illustrates the Road King with the drivers door partially open.  All the doors and windows close nicely and correctly with a proper and correct fit)
