The heads on the engine are the earlier '70/71 351CJ heads which have the ( Closed Chamber ) design. The '70 ( 4V ) ( Closed Chamber ) "Quench heads" have a higher compression and were also designed
by Ford to be used with adjustable rockers where as the later '72 351CJ-4V heads would have utilized the ( Open Chamber ) design and would have utilized non-adjustable rockers as well. See additional Information below: 351 CJ Open

Note: I have not actually dino tested the motor but based on the information provided to me by the 3rd owner the motor is currently putting out somewhere around 350+ horsepower.
The rare original optional tachometer located in the factory instrument cluster is currently disabled due to the addition of a functional aftermarket tachometer which is currently attached to the upper part of the steering column. Some additional details with respect to the condition of the original interior of the car the original padded A/C dash panel has some age cracks located in the central area of the dash where the center speaker grille holes are located. The original drivers seat cushion cover has an age split located between where the outer edge of the lower bottom seat cushion cover meets the the inner part of the outer side seat bolster. Other than these flaws there are no other additional issues with respect to the condition of the interior of the car with the original head liner. carpet and rear seats being in excellent condition. The original Rim-Blow steering wheel is in excellent condition as well being free from cracks with the only flaw being the fact that the horns are not presently functioning which I believe is due to the Rim-Blow strip on the steering wheel needing to be replaced though it is not cracked or torn anywhere that I can find. The exterior paint on the car is in over all excellent condition as well with the only minor flaws being a some light scattered scuffs that could be buffed out or polished out if desired and one small chip in the left front fender which could be touched up plus some blisters around the edge of the base of the drivers side outside door mirror plus a couple of additional small spots located around the outer edge of the quarter panel vent scoops where they meet the body. These small blister areas are not due to rust but are apparently due to the paint shrinking a bit while it was in the process of curing. The only true blistering / rasied spot that I can find under the paint is located in the lower bottom edge of the drivers door toward the rear but it's not really that noticeable unless you are down on your knees and right up on it. All of the tinted glass is original to the car and is in excellent over all condition as well with the only minor flaws being a couple of windshield wiper scuffs in the front windshield. All of the chrome and stainless on the car is in nice shape as well being nice and bright with the only flaws being a few scattered scuffs in the bumpers and a few small dents in the rain gutter molding in the outer edge of the roof just above the drivers door. The 3rd owner who was additionally responsible for the one and only re-paint on the car opted not to install the original stainless steel rocker side moldings or chrome plated hood scoop engine identification badges on the car. Additionally with respect to the hood scoop itself apparently the larger CFM Holley carburetor that was originally installed on the motor had thrown a few flames and heat blistered the paint in the area of the air cleaner just under the hood which also in turn heated up the blackout paint located under the hood scoop as well which caused the paint under the hood scoop to heat blister. shrink and crack. I must stress however that the above mentioned paint flaws basically go unnoticed due to the over all beautiful condition of the paint on the hole car and could be quite easily repaired if desired. I have given as much detailed information as I can with respect to the over all condition of the car but if there is any additional information that is needed please feel free to email me. Please note that this vehicle is also being listed locally for sale as well so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time prior to the close of the auction.
