Here is a PHS documented 69 Firebird 400 convertible. it was stored in a garage from 1982 - 2008. I am the third owner. It can't be called a survivor but very few reproduction parts were used in the restoration other than wear and tear parts like the weather strip. interior. top and suspension parts. The original 400 was bored . 030 over and was rebuilt with a roller cam and rockers for performance and reliability (see dyno sheet). New aluminum radiator. runs cool even in AZ. It has the original rebuilt Quadrajet and original distributor converted to Pertonix. I have the original exhaust manifolds but Ram Air long branch manifolds are installed. dual stainless Magnaflow exhaust sounds awesome. The motor and trans have less then 500 miles on them. the car runs and drives very well. The car comes with the numbers matching Turbo 400 AT but was converted to a 4 speed using a rebuilt 1969 Pontiac Muncie M20 and an original 69 Hurst shifter and linkage. The sub frame and A Arms were powder coated and the entire suspension was rebuilt. I added a larger front sway bar for improved handling and it has new KYB gas shocks all around. The exterior was completely stripped to bare metal except for the bottom of the floor pans. the original factory primer is in excellent condition. The only rust spots were on the very lower fenders. all the sheet metal is the original metal from GM. The car was painted with a good quality BC/CC in its original Windward Blue paint and has no scratches or chips. The new white top. carpet and standard interior were also restored per the trim tag. The power top works great and is powered by the original pump and lines. Re-chromed original bumpers. New rocker and wheel well chrome. The newer BFG's (225/70/14) on the original 14 X 7 rally wheels also only have about 500 miles on them. The car still has the original 2:56 posi rear end but a brand new Auburn posi unit and a new set of 3:23 gears are included. Also included is the original trunk lid which was painted at the same time as the car. it does not have the spoiler mount holes and it is bubble wrapped and ready to go.
This car is not perfect as it was built to be a driver but it is a very nice numbers matching car and will only appreciate in value. If you are a fan of original cars this one is for you. Contact me if you would like a copy of engine rebuild invoice or the dyno spec's. I'll try to post the PHS. I also have a partial build sheet. ******************************

I wanted to note some issues someone pointed out today here locally.
Power steering box has a slight dripSome of the side glass has some scratches and needs slight adjustments. Front windshield is brand new and rear is flawless.  The reproduction TA step gauges have stopped working. I think its probably a ground behind the dash. tach and speedo work fine. All lights and blinkers work except back up lights.

Added pics with the top up and interior pics. In the first pics loaded there were some details that were not corrected such as PONTIAC letters on tail.
