Pontiac : Firebird 350 Coupe

Here is an ALL ORIGINAL "PONTIAC DOCUMENTED" 1968 PONTIAC FIREBIRD.   This car had the same owner for over 40 years!  
Beautiful blue color. 350. auto.  This survivor has to be driven to really be appreciated.  This muscle car is in unmodified and unmolested original condition. and has solid body throughout.   Equipped with AC. PS and console clock.  This car was not neglected and it shows!  All instrument lights. gauges and "idiot lights" work.  I have Pontiac Historic Documentation (PHS) showing the correctness of the drive drain and originality of the car.   Runs and drives excellent. This numbers matching car is pretty much the way it came off the assembly line in 1968. with most all original parts including original interior. original YJ code engine and powerglide transmission and original style exhaust system.  No aftermarket performance parts.   Car spent most of ist life in Alabama and is solid throughout.

Here some high-lights:

Car drives nice and straight with lots of power and shifts smoothly as it should

All glass is in good shape with no cracks. all windows roll up and down

The engine starts right up and idles fine with no visible leaks under the hood

Interior still looks very nice with no cracks on the dash

Brakes are newly overhauled and are drum all around

Trunk floor is solid

All body panels align well and seem to be all original with no major welding and/or aftermarket low quality replacement panels

Headlight and taillight lenses are nice

Undercarriage is solid and shows off well with no rust or repairs evident

Exhaust has no leaks

Tires are new

Bumpers are straight and very nice for their age

One repaint with original color approximately 26 years ago and still shows off very well

Clear title in hand

Some honest 46 year old original car comments/findings:

While this gem has been very well maintained all of its life and is not a restored car. some there are things less than perfect as to be expected.

The interior shows off very well. but has some cracks in the steering wheel plastic portion and the driver's seat had a small patch

The door panels are very nice still but show some fading/discoloration

As with any car that has the original drive drain some drips underneath are to be expected

The vinyl top is in like new condition. but due to moisture shows some bubbling

The driver's side lower quarter panel had a small rust repair (approx. 5"x3") and minimal filler was used. filler starting to show a crack

The console clock light works. the clock itself does not.

To sum up. this is a solid and reliable driver that shows off extremely well.   It drives beautifully and you'll get thumbs up no matter where you go.   This is a perfect example of American. Quality Muscle that gives you goose bumps when you sit behind the wheel.

This is a rare opportunity to own this gem that won't get lost in the sea of Camaros out there.
