Special-Bodied Carrozzeria Vignale-FIAT "Riviera" Coachbuilt

Only know example in North America that I know of.

Ultra rare car based on the Fiat 600 platform. The beautiful handmade body is built by the famous coach builder Vignale (they built many bodies for Ferrari. Maserati and others). These were much more expensive  to buy than a standard Fiat 600 and were produced in very very small numbers. The styling is similar to an Abarth Allemano.

These cars were mainly sold in the Italian market and never sold in the United States of Canada. This car was privately imported into California in the 1980's and was the only know example in the whole country. The car was then purchased and exported legally into Canada but never plated or registered. The car car be legally imported back into the US with it's California title. Or the car car be easily exported from Montreal world wide.

The car is basically complete and the restoration was started but not completed. I have all the parts. The body is very good overall but the floor was rusted and has been cut out. I have purchased replacement floor panels with rails which i am including in the auction. There are a few other minor rust issues but the car is very straight and solid. The side rockers panels have been cut out and will need to be replaced. The lower fenders have a small rust issue but can be easily fixed. Both doors are soild and have no rust. The rest of the body including underneath are rust free. the front hood needs some attention. no rust just dents. Nice glass. trunk floor. hubcaps. and top frame are all there and included. Interior is original white in decent shape for its age. All rubber floor mats are intact. The dash and gauges are complete and in good condition. Also included are the original jack and lug wrench.

The car rolls and steers. Basically it is a roller. All the parts will be carefully crated and packed for shipping. I

The car is basically a Fiat 600 mechanically and all the parts are readily available.

The car still has its original Italian title (car is listed as a 1964 Fiat 600D Vignale) as well as a clear California Title/ownership certificate (car is listed as a 1965 Fiat). If you want something truly rare and collectable. this is it.
