Mazda : RX-7 S Coupe 2-Door

I'm posting for sale a pristine 1981 Mazda RX-7 S with only 43. 53 original miles! As third owner this RX-7 has been adult driven and properly maintained in it's stock condition other than the addition of seat covers (to preserve black vinyl/velour seats). steering wheel cover. NGK spark plug wires. and shortened black rubber radio antenna mast (original electric chrome unit retained. ) This RX-7 is THE nicest I've owned of three and of the dozens I've driven. Previous owners have maintained original paperwork for purchase and service. Window sticker ($9155 dated 12/11/80). purchase agreement. owner's manual. and warranty information document this vehicle's origin. This RX-7 has ALWAYS been garage stored and is RUST-FREE.

Paint is the original Sunrise Red with under-hood condition extraordinary. There is some “crazing” to the finish on the top of the front bumper – appears to have been clear coated with a protective sealant at some early stage. The lower portion of the front lip is stone chipped. but unbent. Overall paint finish is not flawless. but I would rate it 9/10. Original dealer license plate frame has been pulled. but will accompany vehicle.

All black interior (seats as noted above) is exceptional – 9. 4/10 there. NO hint of dash cracks. all knobs lettering is perfect. including numbers/R on the shift knob. Hatch as luggage tie down and houses unused spare tyre. original jack. and spanner in original cloth bag. Quartz clock keeps perfect time. Blue tinted glass – all perfect. Dual storage bins behind front seats. Original Clarion AM/FM radio - no cassette player!

5-speed transmission shifts effortlessly. clutch is tight. Brakes are solid. including tight emergency handbrake. Tires are fairly new Primewell 165/80 R 13 (wouldn't have been my first choice. but. ) with 10 s of thousands of miles left on them. Wheels are stock steel units with nice original condition chrome trim rings. Fitted with rare cold weather starting option!!!

Recent work/new parts: new battery. Stant lever radiator cap. and horn relay: tune-up last month (filters. NGK plug wires. rotor. distributor cap. )

For Buy it Now price I will include the following EXTRAS: current front seat covers & matching steering wheel cover & seat belt cushions front vinyl bra cover (never really used – thankfully!): period correct rear hatch louver cover (from another RX-7) front and rear sway bar mounts front front sway bar link set new water pump with gasket/thermostat and both belts and ski rack (also from another RX-7. ) At least one repair manual will accompany this RX-7 – additional videos. digital guides can be negotiated.

Also for full Buy it Now price I will deliver within a 500 mile radius of its storage. Beyond that purchaser bears full responsibility to pick-up/transport.

I believe I have priced this well-preserved RX-7 fairly and these under-priced and under-appreciated rotary engined sports cars will only appreciate. I am an RX-7 club member and post as haringmp.
