This 1986 300SDL (SDL stands for Sedan Diesel Langen (Longer)) and is a lengthened version of the 300SD with a turbocharged engine that is just as bulletproof as the 5 cylinder 300's of the late 1970's and early 1980's.   This is an even more powerful 3 liter engine with an inline 6 cylinder formation.   You can reasonable expect 28-30 mpg in this full size luxury vehicle.  

You are bidding on an extremely clean 1986 Mercedes-Benz 300SDL that is in exceptional mechanical and cosmetic condition!  It is fresh from having just undergone a very comprehensive service including: New Injector Pump. New Brakes (On All Four Wheels). New Window Regulators. and New AC Compressor. Dryer Box. Condenser. Evaporator. Blower Motor. and Climate Control Unit (AC Blows Ice Cold!)

This 300SDL has always been regularly serviced at an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership and runs and drives exactly as it should.   The engine revs smoothly throughout the entire rev range. produces plenty of power and has zero blowback.   The turbocharger spools exactly as it should. producing excellent boost and the vacuum is strong.   The ABS disc brakes are new and can quickly bring the car safely down from speed.   The transmission shifts smoothly into each gear with absolutely no slip.   The glow plugs are in excellent condition and even in very cold weather. this 300SDL starts right up.   The rare and stunning metallic blue color looks fantastic and really grabs a lot of attention.   This is a lifelong southern car from Georgia and there is no rust anywhere.

As with any car of this vintage. there is some expected. age-related wear; such as areas where the paint has faded. chips. etc.   Please refer to the many pictures included below.   All of the power equipment inside of the car is working correctly including the power windows (which have been fitted with new window regulators). power locks. power steering. power mirrors. wipers and washers.   The original Becker radio is still installed but does not work.   The power sunroof will require adjustment. the cruise control arm and clock will need replacement and occasionally the power seats do not want to adjust.   All of the gauges are working correctly and none of the service lights are illuminated.  

Although you may find other 300SDL's for sale. you will be hard-pressed to find one as clean as this with such an impeccable service history.   These cars can literally last for a million miles. but only with proper maintenance.   This car has always been serviced at an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership and comes complete with a stamped and certified service book. starting with the very first oil change.

This vehicle was only made for two years with a production run of less than 14. 00. Deposit

A $500 nonrefundable deposit is due within twenty four (24) hours of the auction close by credit/debit card or bank account through Paypal.  

Remainder Due

I am happy to store the vehicle for up to thirty (30) days; however. the remaining balance must be paid within three (3) days following the close of the auction via bank transfer. check. or cash.   Neither the car nor the title will be released until all funds have cleared my bank.
