EXTERIOR
Finished in solid black. this stunning 356 displays a deep glossy shine. Having been extensively restored to an incredibly high standard this rare Porsche is undoubtedly a work of art. From every angle the voluptuous curves present beautifully. with the steel body panels all extremely straight and free from any imperfections.

The attention to detail on the car is something else; a real show-winner. The chrome brightwork is impeccable and retains a youthful mirror finish. Furthermore. all rubbers and seals present in very good order and display a healthy black colouring. There is absolutely no corrosion to be found anywhere. with zero scratches or chips present either. All badges and trim around the car are in fine condition. with the ‘Reutter & Co. ' plate. located next to the off-side front wheel arch. presenting ‘as new'. This example is also fitted with a factory sunroof and wind deflectors. both rare options on the 356.

INTERIOR
Opening the door to this exquisite coupe is like taking a step back in time. Once inside. you are immersed in the luxury and glamour of the 1950s. with an interior that is truly flawless. Having been fully re-trimmed in luxurious red leather. the upholstery in this Porsche is perfect. There is no wear to the seats. and the pristine carpets retain a wonderful texture.

The rubber mats present beautifully and the pedals barely show any signs of usage at all. As to be expected. all the switchgear is fully functional and feels just as solid today as it would have done rolling off the production line. The ivory steering wheel is absolutely stunning and features the rare horn push ring complete with vintage central motif. The glove compartment lid. internally trimmed in red leather. operates smoothly and the door cards and pockets are completely wear-free. The rubber door sill protectors are equally pristine.

Upon lifting the bonnet you are immediately greeted by a gleaming spare wheel. complete with tool kit and delightful period details such as a Castrol oil can. As per the rest of the vehicle. the finish is faultless.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The engine bay presents beautifully. Tucked neatly behind the rear seats of the 356. the small but mighty 1600cc engine looks and sounds glorious. Being the 1600 Super. this example produces almost 75hp. compared to the 60hp of the standard 356A.

Unsurprisingly everything appears factory-fresh. from the labels on the electrical components to the absolutely corrosion-free surfaces of the mechanical parts.

WHEELS. TYRES AND BRAKES
The car sits on the correct 15-inch polished steel wheels topped off with stunning domed centre caps. Presenting magnificently. there are no imperfections or dents to be found in the chrome. The steel rims are also immaculate and show absolutely zero signs of any wear. The wheels are shod in a brand new. matching set of Hankook Centum tyres.

The car drives beautifully and brakes well. The underside. of course. is free from corrosion and presents exactly as it should following an extensive renovation.

HISTORY FILE
Having covered just 52. 55 miles during its lifetime this example still appears brand new. An extensive professional restoration was completed on the vehicle a short while ago and the result is a concourse vehicle that truly defies its age. It is a 'matching numbers' example and was originally a Porsche press car. As such. this 356A was fitted with every factory option including the seldom seen wind deflectors.
