1975 Fiat 500R - Imported from Sicily - Great Fun To Drive for sale

Built in Sicily in '75. this baby blue Fiat 500 is one of the last to be built before the introduction of the 126. The 500 ‘R'. or Rinnovata. got the larger. Abarth designed. 594cc engine with a whole ten horsepower more than the 1957 original. This car has been upgraded further to a 695cc. giving a top speed nearing 80mph if you're brave enough!

Realistically though. with the 500R's all synchromesh gearbox. the bigger engine gives real usability to the car. and the ability to be driven in modern traffic with ease.

Until 2013 the 500 spent its life in Gorizia. North East Italy where. two years ago. it was totally restored. Having spent its life in the dryer climes of Italy. it was an extremely solid car prior to the restoration and all the floors are original and excellent. A new front panel. new wings. doors. bumpers and a complete respray returned it to superb condition.

Inside the black vinyl trim is unmarked and benefits from a recent headliner/hood. parcel shelf and a genuine Nardi steering wheel. Externally there's also a luggage rack and wicker picnic basket just to complete the look.

We have the original Italian documentation and it is MoT'd until April 2015.
