12th month 1972 Genuine matching number LJ GTR Torana. When I say Genuine matching number I don't mean it's just got all of it's 3 tags still intact on the vehicle and call it a genuine car like you see with most ads . (this is a true full matching number car. a survivor). This car is immaculate and ready to show. it has no rust at all anywhere and has been religiously fish oiled every 2nd year. This beauty is in her original sort after colour 13888 Zodiac Blue resprayed in 2 pack 10 yrs ago when she had her full resto. the paint is still immaculate the body has no rust anywhere at all (and no signs of there being any) and she has only travelled 6000 miles since full rebuild. Getting back to the matching numbers part which is the important bit and is what makes this car so special: To start she has all her tags and all match with the body. she has her original matching number engine with her matching number head. the gearbox is correct and matching numbers along with the tail shaft. diff housing. diff centre. all the brakes front and back are all matching numbers with their original retaining springs and lines. she has her original radiator that has just been reco'd. She is an ex police vehicle with a police pack (dealer fitted). all the signs are there being the holes under the glove box a small dimple in the centre of the roof from the aerial repair the big tank and the fact it was sold from John A Gilbert of Campbelltown to the NSW police dealer code 048. these are all good signs but is still always up for debate depending on who you talk to. Car comes with the set of custom made 15" steel wheels with dress rims to replicate the original 13"steel rims and also comes with the sprintmasters all with good rubber. This GTR has full road rego so turn key and drive anywhere. This car is a true survivor and there aren't many fully matching number GTR's about and this GTR with the police pack dealer fitted makes this one very sort after and collectable as it has the XU1 options fitted at the dealer.
