1979 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ 40 4 x 4 is and original finish survivor !! The Toyota Blue paint is all original. It has had extensive servicing work just completed including factory new crate 4. 2 L overhead inline 6 cyl. / 135 H. P. engine / rebuilt 4 spd. transmission both with under 1. 00 miles since done.

Has (pwr. )brakes. new shocks. 5) brand new A/T 31 series tires. reshly painted Gray finish rims w/ fac hub caps. new exhaust. heater serviced. excellent. lights / gauges all functional. Has rear seat w/ seat belts. roll bar. tow package/ hitch. wire harness. new frt. manual locking hubs. front tow hooks. air horn (loud). ack. extra servicing parts. Interior floor has been rino lined for grip and sealing from the elements.

Their are a few small areas of surface rust easy to repair for low cost. mostly touch-ups.

** FJ Vehicle information and facts: In 1975 the replacement second generation 2 F engine was more robust. The F 2 overhead valve straight six displaces 4. 2 liters and offers 135 horsepower. t was paired with a H. D. 4 spd. floor shift trans. The Toyota FJ 40 Land Cruiser was developed in the early-1950 s and was based on the Willys M 38 Jeep. When Toyota and Land Rover went head-to-head in the 1960 s. Toyota won nearly every encounter. The short-wheelbase FJ 40 was rigid and durable and made considerable headway into the Jeep market in the United States in the 1960 s and 1970 s.
