You are looking at a wild 1959 Lincoln Continental that's a Rust free Texas car. To start the car is being sold as an estate type auction. The original owner passed with cancer. We got the car out and running. We did install new 14" Coker wide-whitewall tires. New chrome flipper hub caps that match the Lincoln Emblem. and installed a period-correct custom air cleaner. The car does run and drive. Would advise a trailer or transport to pick up the car.   It's a Customized 4-door with 2-door roof. Rear 2 doors molded in for a true 2-door car. Car has ben converted to a Ranchero style body & retained the factory electric "Breezeway" roll-down back-window. The bed has full finished perimeter in silver with metal put down and a wood bed installed. The car has a Silver tonneau cover that was not in place for the pictures. Will need In my opinion a new cover made. we do have new material for that. Dark blue vinyl with metal metallic flakes in it.   The interior has the original power seat. The motor seams to work. but it appears the seat is bound up on the tracks. The interior has been re-done to match the exterior. The original steering wheal has been replaced with custom 3-spoke type. We will include original steering wheel. but it's in poor shape. The window switches seam to be dirty. the drivers window rolls down great. the others are hit and miss. the rear center window will roll down when switch decides to work. The engine appears to be the original 430 cubic inch Lincoln. Valve covers painted to match the rest of the car. The transmission is the stock automatic type. and it's case is clean and silver. so it's been out and likely re-built. The underside of the hood. and top of engine bay are also painted to match the car. The springs to retract the hood open look to be missing and the latch is gone. the hood folds forward and is heavy. so it never comes up while driving.   The 430 seems to run great. have noticed small amount of coolant on bottom radiator and small oil drips at times. I don think engine has ben rebuilt. but runs & sounds great. The carburetor choke needs work to help start the car faster. The car original had A/C the lines are there. but the pump is gone. also the lines to the heater core are taken off. All the exterior lights work. the dash lamps don't come on. The knob for the ignition switch is missing. The top rear roof 2'' piece of trim is missing. There is custom made gas-filler door in the rear. The cars paint is awesome. for its age does show some chips here and there. near back of hood on cowl and drivers door and other little various place. The body is quite straight. especially considering all the custom-work that's been done to it.   It was obviously professionally done. The bumpers I believe have been re-chromed as they are super nice. Just know that the car will need some tlc to make it your own and to make it perfect.   The weather is starting to get snowy. and we don't have indoor storage for the car any longer. so would advise getting it picked up as soon as possible after the auction. There are an additional 25 photos and a walk-around video of the car. so you can hear it running if click on. or paste the following into your web-browser:   https://picasaweb. google. com/115833998602437761889/1959LincolnContinentalCustom?authuser=0&feat=directlink Thanks for looking. and if you have any questions. you may call the owners': Robert (641) 420-8674  or Tracy: (641) 420-6785.
