Here is a rare 78 Concord AMX. one of 2400 made and most were 6 cylinders. This is a factory H code 304 V 8 car. Engine has been swapped out for a 401 but all smog and original equipment was moved to it including original 2 V carb. Still maintains its original catalytic converter and restrictive single exhaust system. Engine recieved a new timing chain and gears and some new gaskets before being installed. Other work was done to engine and I will include tomorrow once I confirm it. Carb was rebuilt with bigger jets but still is not enough to make the 401 realise its full potential. Previous owner just wanted to make sure it passed California smog. In other states that don't smog it would be best to put a 4 v back on and dual exhaust. Car is factory equipped with A/C. power disc. power steering. black Levis interior option. and a posi rearend. Previous owner blacked out red striping that reads National Engineering Racing Team and said this car was one of a few that were used as run around cars for the AMC racing team. Has original wheels with new tires that have less than 2000 miles on them. Paint is original but car needs repaint and restripe. hood is damaged(bent) at rear corners and may need to be replaced with a better one.

No rust or major dents. Interior is original. dash is fine. as are door panels. Carpet needs replace and seats should be redone. Runs great. no smoke or exhaust leaks. Does leak at hose to steering box. Rims have usual curb dings. Drivers door sags. I have not smogged it yet as if the car sells out of state it will not matter.
