Barn Find 1947 Bentley MkVI 86th Car Built Restoration Velvet Green Brown Int for sale
Current customer rating:
Hi there. You are bidding on a very early Mk VI Bentley indeed.
Chassis Number B 172 AK
Registration Number HXR 783
Velvet Green with Brown Leather
4. 25 Litre
I have been told that it was delivered new to Belgium and is the 86 th Car Built after the war. so one of the oldest of the Mk VI Cars
This Car requires restoration. its owner passed away while work was in progress some years ago changing the headlining and so the wood for the car is removed from the dash and windscreen surround.
With the car is a roll of West of England wool cloth. also a full set of the rubbers that are covered with it.
All the leather I have been feeding and is quite good although has a split worn through the drivers seat.
The windscreen surround has come apart at the joints.
I purchased a battery and connected it. and syringed some fresh fuel into the float chamber and she fired up instantly however the second time I tried the Starter is Jammed.
The electrics all appear to work. the trafficators too worked instantly.
All the road tools are missing. but the under dash tray has some of the bulbs and Tappet adjusting tools ( Ben at Flying Spares will supply any parts )
The tyres hold air pretty well and are useable. the spare is present too.
The rear bumper is present although not pictured and is in good order but needs chroming "B" is present on bumper.
I strongly recommend viewing of the car. this is a fantastic opportunity to own and restore one of the earliest Post War Bentley Cars.
I own the Car and have applied for a log book. there is no history with the car I have purchased the car from a relative off the deceesed owner who is a friend.
Please ask for Pictures and call me if you have any questions or wish to view the car. The car is in Warfield Berkshire. RG 42 The car will have to be trailered away for obvious reasons.
No Reserve or Buy it Now
Unless A very good Offer is Made.
