######### Within 5 minutes of being listed. someone asked if I have the 383 that came out of the car.   I do not have the 383 engine that came out of this car. However. I do have a complete 383 engine from carb to oil pan with most brackets and accessories. I have had it for at least 3 years and am just too much of a Hemi or 440-6 Barrel setup to go with the 383 motor. If you want to go with a 383 engine. I will gladly sell you the 383 motor I have for an ADDITIONAL $750. 00. It will need a rebuild. but its very complete. I saved it from the scrapyard when a friend got a divorce.   So technically you can go the 383 route if you want.

Up for auction is a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner Post Coupe.   I am selling this Roadrunner because I already have 2 other 1969 Roadrunners and just had the opportunity to purchase a Hemi Roadrunner from a friends collection and perhaps you have noticed my eBay name is wantahemi. and I guess I will be changing that to finally got one!  With that being said. here is what I know about this car.   First and foremost. I bought this car for the body and the lack of rust.   In upstate NY. things just fall apart.   In 2012. I was driving  with my Dad to Lake Havasu. Arizona and when we stopped for gas. I saw the car across the street loaded on a trailer.   After some small talk with the owner and a bank transfer. I towed the vehicle to a transport company and had it shipped to NY.   The body lines on this car are in excellent shape.   Obviously. it has been repainted and overall the paint is pretty good.   There are a few spots beginning to bubble from what appear to be previous repairs.   There is one place above the windshield that needs fixed. the paint is cracked and there are small imperfections here and there.   However. this car has great floors. doors. fenders. and overall is in great shape.   You will not be sending AMD metals your life savings.   Whether the color is your thing or not. a body shop professional isn't going to have to do much more than fix some flaws. scuff and shoot.   This car was not bought by me to a trailer queen. and it will make someone a nice driver / local car show participant.   I take my 69 440-6 Bbl car to shows and anymore. there are not a lot of Mopars left.

As far as the motor and transmission go. personally I would pull them and go through them.   Who really wants to put their new toy together and deal with an issue.   The motor will start and idle with a battery.   It runs. but a number of vacuum leaks exist.   I capped a bunch of them and it still runs a bit rough.   The transmission did shift and drive. but as to condition. no idea.   Its a 727. so rebuilding or buying one is pretty simple.   The driveshaft was removed to use as a template for another car and misplaced by the local driveshaft company.   So the driveshaft is missing.   The interior is black. please see the photos.   The dash is pretty much there including the Roadrunner decal  over the glovebox.   I do have the rear seat.   All the glass is there. no issues with that.

I have the vast majority of parts to finish this car.  I spent over a year tracking down the post coupe stainless steel trim for the rear windows.   Off the top of my head. here are a list of parts that I have:

New carpet kit. nbsp; factory wiper arms. headliner clips. door crank clips. headliner trim. A pillar covers. kick panels.  Mopar trim for windshield front and rear. Mopar trim for doors and side windows (hard to find). new reproduction sill plates. door handles. original arm rests and baseplates. Repro Roadrunner horn. I have a rear seat (needs covered). nbsp;correct 69 Roadrunner bucket seats (hard to find. need recovered). original headlight trim and other miscellaneous parts. screws and pieces. including the ridiculously hard to find and super expensive reverse lights.

My main concern is that the car goes to someone who will finish the car.   It deserves to be a driver.   You will not believe the heads that turn and the number of thumbs up you will get cruising one of these time capsules.   I have a large circle of car nut friends and club members that have been served notice the car is for sale.   I reserve the right to sell or trade the car at any point.   I don't think I have ever ended an auction early. but with cars. its about bid or watch it go down the road.   If you are the winning bidder. bring cash.   If you choose to pay via paypal. you have to pay the 3% charge on top of the final purchase price.   But at least you could buy a killer car with a credit card.    I will require a $1000 non refundable Paypal deposit.   You will have 5 days to pay me the TOTAL AMOUNT DUE and 30 DAYS to pick up the car. arrange for transport or helicopter the car to your location.   If you fail to comply with the 5 day payment schedule OR after 30 days the vehicle is still on my property. you will forfeit your $1000 deposit  and I will relist the car.   In upstate NY snow is coming and I really don't want to see this sitting outside.   I have a 5 acre lot. so your carrier. car hauler. trailer etc will have lots of access and an easy ability to drive out without backing up.   If you need a hand loading or coordinating. I will gladly help.   As an example. to ship this car from NY to Arizona in 2012 it cost $975 and I had to wait 13 days for it to get picked up.   Realistically. it could be less since gas is just over $3. 00 a gallon here.   If you have ANY questions. I will try and answer them honestly and quickly.   I understand buying a car over the internet is definitely a unique process and want you to feel comfortable.

This car does not have a title.   In NY. cars this old come with a TRANSFERABLE registration.   Prior to you taking the car. we can go to the local DMV and find out exactly what documents you need.   I have had it registered and insured (IN STORAGE) since I bought it.   A bill of sale will be provided also.

If you are looking for a father/son project. want to relive some of your youth. or just think its time to buy a muscle car. these are getting hard to find. especially not needing tons of body work.   My plan was to paint. go through motor. trans. rear. and ship to Legendary Interiors in NY to cherry it out.    Thanks for reading my auction and GOOD LUCK!!!

On Nov-06-14 at 17:43:33 PST. seller added the following information:

I have a person coming tomorrow at 11 am who is interested in the car.   He has been given a price for both the car and the parts.   In the event that he decides to buy the car and the parts to complete it. I will end the auction as soon as I have the money in my hand.   Just don't want a million questions asking why did I end the auction.   If you are seriously considering buying this car. you can contact me via the contact seller button and I will get back to you.   Obviously there are a lot of people looking for a car like this. there are over 190 people watching and I have answered at least 100 emails.   Four people have came and saw the car. but not had deep enough pockets. only wanted the body etc.   Anyway. just trying to give everyone a chance to win and not be shady.
