1960 CADILLAC ELDORADO BIARRITZ CONVERTIBLE

UP FOR GRABS

IS A 1960 CADILLAC ELDORADO BIARRITZ CONVERTIBLE IN ITS ORIGINAL COLOR ; WHITE WITH BLACK TOP AND RED INTERIOR WITH ONLY 87231 MILES ON IT.

THIS CAR IS A TRUE BIARRITZ WITH THE VIN# 60E036603 SHOWING ON THE DOOR TAG. ON THE COWL TAG AND ON THE FRONT OF THE FRAME.

THE CAR COMES WITH THE HARD TO FIND PARADE BOOT. THIS CADILLAC IS COMPLETE EXCEPT FOR THE AIR SUSPENSION AND THE 3 CARBURATORS THAT WERE REMOVED MANY YEARS BACK. FOR THE PAST 40 YEARS THIS CAR SAT IN A MUSEUM IN EASTERN CANADA . IT WAS PURCHASED IN MAINE IN 1975 BY THE MUSEUM OWNER AND WAS ONLY USED A FEW TIMES. THE PAINT IS MORE THAN 40 YEARS OLD SINCE THE MUSEUM NEVER HAD THE CAR REPAINTED.

THE PAINT STILL SHINES BUT SHOWS SOME SCRATCHES AND WARE. ALL OF THE CHROME WAS RECENTLY REPLACED WITH N. O. S. PARTS FOUND THRU THE YEARS ALL OVER THE STATES. EVEN THE FRONT GRILL IS N. O. S. WE CAN SAY CHROME IS PERFECT. THE INTERIOR WAS NEVER REDONE SO IT DOES SHOW A FADED RED COLOR BUT NO RIPS OR TEARS.  MECHANICALLY THE CAR STARTS. DRIVES AND BRAKES WELL BUT IT WILL NEED SOME REFURBISHING TO MAKE IT SAFE. DON'T FORGET IT WAS IN A MUSEUM FOR THE PAST 40 YEARS. ALSO THE FLOORS DO SHOW SOME HOLES THAT WILL NEED TO BE TAKEN CARE OF BUT THE FRAME IS IN PERFECT CONDITION. WE DID PUT NEW TIRES ON. A NEW BLACK TOP. A NEW FUEL PUMP AND ALL THE USUAL TUNE UP KIT MEANING SPARK PLUGS. POINTS. WIRES. ROTORS. CAP FILTERS.

A NICE DRIVER THAT WILL NEED SOME REFURBISHING TO BRING ITS VALUE CLOSER TO THE MARKET.

THE EXHAUST SYSTEM WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED

ONLY 1285 OF THESE 1960 CADILLAC WERE PRODUCED AND THEY ARE GETTIG VERY EXPENSIVE. SO THIS IS A RARE CHANCE TO PURCHASE SUCH AN ICON FOR A RELATIVELY LOW PRICE.

The successful bidder will need to contact our office at 450-431-1313 within 24hours of auction end. If the end of th auction is on a weekend or holiday. next business day will be fine. At that time a non-refundable deposit of $1000. 00 will be required to secure the vehicle. Non payment of the deposit within 48 hours of auction close will result in theauction being relisted or offering the car to the next highest bidder.

Complete payment of the auction (including any applicable fees and taxes*) must be paid within 5 business days of auction close. We accept payment by bank wire transfer. certified check. bank draft. Anticipate an extra delay in releasing the vehicle if you pay by check or draft as these will need to be verified.
