Ford Fiesta XR2

This amazing mk2 XR2 is just superb . The low miles . hough not documented is as a result of the car being in storage for approx 10 years according to the previous owners. Once you see the pictures and see all the orginal parts . riginal paint etc etc it becomes obvious this is just a beautiful example . With all the recent work that has been done . hich is described in the sub sections this really is a great car to own . 5 years ago we pushed hard to find immaculate mk1 s knowing they would rocket in price as the became harder and harder to find . We now see it happening with mk2s . Very nice . show standard cars will and are becoming hard to find . specially with ultra low miles . With average ones commanding high prices . This one will not be around for long . We are very tempted to mothball it ourselves as we know it is one of those cars that will rocket in price . But we need to remember the ethos of Cloud 9 cars and let others get the enjoyment we get out of finding such nice examples

Engine & Transmission


The engine is running as sweet as a pea. Having only covered 31000 miles it is superb . Recent work under the hood includes . New cambelt and tensioner. ew waterpump. new radiator. parkplugs . lat terminal battery startermotor. As you can see the engine bay and all ancillaries are immaculate . This is completely stock and super clean . The brakes front and back and been completely overhauled . With new braided hoses . ew shoes. new pads . ew wheel cylinders. ew discs. stripped and recon calipers with new pistons and seals . Mechanically the car is A1 . Underneath the car has been completely stripped and detailed . ith new suspension arms and ball joints . ew track rod ends . ew shock absorbers . All bushes have been replaced with poly bushes. New skf bearings . The hubs have been beam blasted and painted etc etc etc .
Wheels. Tyres & Brakes
All 4 original "pepperpot"wheels have all been refurbed inside and out. All serial numbers match and are all date stamped 88. howing the wheels are all as per new. The tyres are all as new having only covered approx 400 miles . The brakes have all been renewed
Exterior
The original panels and paint are in superb order . The only new paint was to the bonnet as this had faded in storage . As far as we can tell the rest has never been painted . The only faults which are tiny. re a touch up to the boot lid . nd a couple of minor dents . All the glass is original and immaculate . All the trim is original and immaculate. New parts include New Lucas headlamps . ew wipers. new aerial . ew spotlights. All under the arches have been treated and painted. The tow bar is all new . o carry a small trailer when going to shows . If preferred
this is easy to remove .
Interior & Equipment
The interior is as new . Original Ford radio . riginal Ford mats . . There are no signs of wear on the seats. carpets. teering wheel. All it needs is a cassette of the Dare album by Human League and you are back in 1988 .
