Regular visitors will know how much we love these Fulvia Zagatos. we have had a few. but this is the very first factory 1600 to cross our path in 15 years. shows you how rare they are. but look at the asking price. its so undervalued.

A rare example of an original RHD Lancia Fulvia Sport 1600 Zagato. Just 800 examples of the 1600 Sport were manufactured and of these. just 62 were made in RHD. about 30 remain. The 1600 shouldn't be confused with the much more numerous 1300 version. The 1584cc 1600 Sport Zagato produced 115bhp and was the fastest production Fulvia with a top speed of 118mph.

This Series II Sport Zagato left the factory in June 1972. It was prepared for fast road use by the previous owner and modelled on the Fulvia Sport 'Competizione' which raced at Sebring and Daytona in the late 1960s. with wider alloy wheel arches added along with a bespoke livery. It also benefits from an unleaded cylinder head (fitted 2010/11). The rare and original front seats were retained.

After this the previous owner ran the car at a few track days. including the Lancia Motor Club's 2011 Goodwood track day. The photos give a pretty good indication of what it's got/ hasn't got in terms of what it would it take to convert it back to road specification or you might want to keep it as a really cool road racer! Either way. a RHD 1600 Sport is a rare thing and in restored road trim worth £30k ish I would have thought. The car is very solid indeed and as you'd expect for a 40 year old Lancia it's has had some body repairs including some minor welding to the floor but overall it's a very nice example. The mileage is believed correct and there are old MOTs dating back to 1987. along with bills for work done and parts since 2009. amounting to about £2500. A summary of the work carried out since 2009:
Engine overhauled and unleaded head fitted. carbs overhauled and new timing chain and guidesAlloy panels fitted to replicate 'Competizione'Rear suspension overhauled with new leaf springsAdjustable dampers all round Replaced tyres. battery. oil service.

It has not been used much in recent years but is taxed and MOT'd and ready to drive away. You will remember this advert in a few years time when the market wakes up and realises what amazing cars these are. Be quick before I decide to keep it.
