Ford Transit MK1 1500 V4 ex Swiss Fire Truck in exceptional condition LHD for sale

You are looking at what has to be one of the cleanest MK 1 Transit vans left.
The van started life in 1971. It was built in Cologne. Germany and sold new to the Swiss Fire service.
It had a bizarre step added below the side door and the coachbuilder who did this has left a riveted plate in the door shut.
When it was retired from the Fire Service it was sold to a private guy in Switzerland who used it to go to events and sleep in the back.
It was imported to the UK late last year and has been dry stored since.
The underside has no evidence of any welding. nor does it need it.
The bodywork is factory paint in a few places. but it has had some work in it's 43 year old life. There is no evidence of rust.
All the shut lines are good. The bottoms of wings. doors and places where UK Transits fell apart are factory finish!
The seats and interior are lovely.
It has a boarded out rear with a bed that clips in in sections.
I have done over 150 kms without fault today in it.
It is standard aside from a modern Blaupunkt stereo. white wall tyres. a weber carb. mirrors that you can actually see out of. and new inertia reel seatbelts
I also have a LWB Swiss twin wheel MK 1 with under 7000 KMS from new for sale but it will need some light recommisioning
