1970 Buick Skylark Hi-Po 350 4 Barrel Convertible

46. 00 2 owner highly documented miles. all #'s matching. Protect-O-Plate.

2 owner Sloan Registry documented highly sought after 350 4 barrel Convertible carrying 100% original rust free sheet metal. Completely unrestored impeccable car with super options including power disc brakes . air conditioning. power steering . strato bucket seats. console. tilt steering wheel. air conditioning. high compression 350 4 bbl. console. AM/FM stereo with tape player ( 8 track)completely untouched interior in fantastic condition. Every single item on this car works as it should. from the horn to the 8 track player. The panel gaps and fitment are spot on. The pinch welds are clearly defined on the door shell to skin seem and on the bottoms of the rocker panels and 1/4 panels. indicating no filler. The bottom of the car is completely rust free. All original pans here folks. The front end is tight and the car is rattle free. The car fires right up with no smoke or stumble! The engine has never been out of the car. with 47. 00 miles on the clock. the original Buick floors mats still look new! A/C kicks right on and is frigidly cold. although I do have to charge it once a season.

The car has had one high quality repaint in it's original color. Matador Red. (Code 75).

The paint is excellent with  base clear PPG finish and the car is as flat as a pancake. The only appreciable  flaw I could find in the paint is a touched up scratch on the right front fender that unfortunately would not photograph. (But I know it's there).

This car was ordered by Gabriel Nassar. a US Army Sgt. Who served our country proudly in Vietnam. Unfortunately Gabriel never returned from Vietnam and was killed by friendly fire. He was post humously  awarded the Bronze Star. Mrs. Nassar couldn't look at the car anymore as it reminded her of her husband. She sold the car to Gabriel's best friend. who kept the car in excellent condition. changing only maintenance items. The top was replaced and the car was repainted at a cost of $7. 00 in 1999.

The paint is as nice as it could be for being 15 years old.

This car is a excellent running and driving car in investment grade condition. If you want a bench seat base Skylark to ride around in. this car is not for you. This car is for the discerning collector who wants a appreciating asset. This car makes no excuses. has no excuses. it's a very honest car.

In 1970. the Buick Skylark was offered with a few distinct engine options. One being a 350 2 bbl with 9:1 compression putting out meager horsepower numbers that was completely on par for the purpose of the car. Then there was the 350 4 bbl. which used a higher flow intake and exhaust. as well as a bigger cam and a higher 10. 25:1 compression ratio. Rochester 4 bbl carb to yield 315hp and 410 lb. feet of torque.

There were 4954 Skylark Custom Convertibles produced in 1970. With about 90% of buyers electing the base 2 bbl engine. There were less than 500 350 4 bbl cars produced. this car is one.

A GS 350 in sheeps clothing. this Skylark Convertible is a investment. not a expense. These cars are rather rare. and with the Buicks starting to appreciate and a 2:1 ratio of similar Chevelles and Camaros of the era. it's a sound investment.
