1967 Sunbeam Alpine Series 5 Roadster Nice Survivor for sale
Current customer rating: (536 votes ) based onWe are reluctantly selling our beautiful 1967 Sunbeam Alpine. My wife. who is English always wanted one so after a long search we found a great one. however due to numerous back surgeries she is no longer able to drive it so we are hoping it will go to a good home. This car is a true survivor. It is originally a California car. with no rust. and is solid in every way. I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere. The car was originally British Racing Green and was resprayed by the previous owner several years ago to what appears to be a Sunbeam Colour-Autumn Harvest Bronze Metallic. It was a very good job with a basecoat and clear coat then colour sanded and buffed out. I recently had it detailed and it looks great. The door jambs only were done as part of the colour change. There are several small parking lot dings around the car that are not that noticiable and is not worth respraying unless you are looking for show quality. There are also some nicks here and there as you would expect. but overall the exterior presents very well as you can see by the photos. We would consider this car a high quality driver. The car has the original wheels. and new tires were fitted not long ago. The previous owner had rebuilt the engine/trans. and hydraulics. Engine starts right up. ounds great. has great oil pressure. does not smoke. It runs at 85 dgrees all day long. There are hardly any leaks. either. The trans shifts perfect. works as it should and there are no noises from the trans or the clutch. Brakes are excellent. Some new bushings appear to have been replaced up front. and the car drives straight. The rear bumper has recently been rechromed. Car is totally complete and not missing anything.
All electrics work as well. Lights. turn signals. gauges. windscreen wiper. etc all work. A brand new top was very recently fitted. as was new carpet. orn ring and door cards. The seats look to be either original or done several years ago. There are no rips or tears. but the piping is worn on the seat tops. We also have clear title.
This is a turn key car that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. It is a real head turner that brings smiles to anyone who sees it.
That is all I can think of at the moment. Inspections are welcome but must be carried out prior to the end of auction. Car is sold as is. I have attempted to describe it to the best of my ability and please be aware that it is not perfect and is nearly 50 years old. so please be realistic in your expectations. I will be happy to assist in transport arrangements if needed. Overseas buyers are welcome! Thanks for looking
