1989 Honda Accord LX-i Black 4-Door Sedan Sunroof Not Running

Seller's notes: "The vehicle started significantly smoking from the exhaust pipe in Mid May and was diagnosed with either bad rings or head, which requires either an engine disassemble/rebuild or replacement. I am listing this as "Not Running" but the car does start and runs but is unsafe on the road and will most likely freeze up at any time. It would have to be towed away. There is also the possibility of a leak in the power steering system. The reservoir was completely empty. I knew it but felt there was a leak because of liquid on the front of the engine (?) being burned off and it was slowly becoming manual steering. I left it empty until I could have it fixed. When the repair facility diagnosed the engine problem, they put fluid in and the steering was working fine."

Up for bid is a 1989 Honda Accord:
CONDITION - The vehicle started significantly smoking from the exhaust pipe in Mid May and was diagnosed with either bad rings or head. which requires either an engine disassemble/rebuild or replacement. When the repair facility diagnosed the engine problem. they put fluid in and the steering was working fine.
PURCHASE HISTORY - I purchased the vehicle in January 2013. The prior owner was not the original owner. The vehicle was purchased in California and driven to Washington. where I am now residing.
STARTER - The prior owner replaced the starter with a switch/push button starter. It requires the ignition key to drive the vehicle. I have had no problems at all with the starter.
REPAIR HISTORY:
• Prior owner stated that he had recently installed a rebuilt transmission. I have no paperwork for that.
• October 2013 - I put new tires on prior to my trip to Washington.
• October 2013 (in WA) - Replaced fuel injectors. replaced both front axles. remove and replace valve cover gasket. remove and replace oil pan gasket. replace rear shoes/adjust brakes. new wiper blades.
COSMETIC/OTHER DETAILS:
• When I purchased the car (CA). it had to have a smog check and it successfully passed. Smog checks are not required in WA for vehicles this old.
• The sunroof. I believe. is still weatherproof. I made it through a WA winter with no signs of leaking.
• Paint is peeling - worst spots are on the bumper. hood and roof.
• There are some small dents here and there - mainly on doors.
• The prior owner put in a JVC HD radio. I don't know anything about HD radios and I've not been able to figure out how it works or adjusts. There is no on/off so I just turn the sound down. But it does work and has a nice sound. The rooftop antenna is held in place but some type of gum-type substance (prior owner).
• There is no A/C - my friend says it looks like the equipment was removed (?).
• The seats and floor mats are worn and have dirt spots - possibly with a good cleaning. they would look nice.
• The trip meter does not work.
• When rolled up. the driver's side window leaves a small gap on the side at the top. This can be resolved by simply putting one hand on each side of the window and pulling it towards you.
• The other (3) windows seemed to be slowing down in returning them to a closed position.
• Included is the anti-theft device "The Club. "
I've loved driving this car. It has run so nicely and so smoothly. It's a fun little car if you want to invest in the engine.
