This is my Dad's car and he doesn't do ebay or the internet. so I'm listing it for him.

My Dad bought this car off my best friend. who'd owned and run the car for many years before the timing chain snapped. My Dad is soon to retire and wanted to get his foot on the classic car ladder. so he rescued and restored the car.

Over the past year he's had a replacement engine fitted (with 67k miles on it). and extensive bodywork/paint done by a professional classic bodywork specialist.

The car had new wheel arches and work to inner sills etc. and it now looks absolutely stunning.

The bodywork and paint represents the major part of the costs he's incurred in getting the car back in good order. and it really shows. This car will now run and look great for many more years.

The clock shows 150015 miles. but you're welcome to get any test carried out on the new engine. The mechanic who fitted it remarked on how good the replacement engine was.

The car comes with both hard and soft tops. and original alloy wheels. It had a new soft top fitted just before my friend originally bought the car. back around 2006. and the hard top is in perfect condition too.

It's also had a new battery. and two new tyres fitted on the rear before the last MOT.

The car is currently stored in Haddenham. near J7 of the M40. The current MOT runs until late November. and it's taxed until the end of November too.

The only advisory on the last MOT was the wheel arches. which have now obviously been professionally replaced.

The car has just had a valet and is ready to go to a good home.

My Dad has agonised about keeping the car. and he fell in love with it the first time he drove it. But with retiring. he wants to sell and use the money to restore something smaller. as that better suits his storage options etc.

I've set a low starting bid and a very reasonable reserve on this. it's a bargain really. And this reflects my Dad's wish to sell and buy something which suits his storage options better.

He's really made an effort to restore this properly. including waiting for months for the right bodywork guy to be available. and he aimed primarily to give the car a new lease of life. He's happy now to see it go to somebody that'll use and enjoy it for many years to come.

He's not a trader looking to earn thousands of pounds of profit. Somebody will end up getting a beautiful. sound. useable and practical example of this classic car.

There's zero bodywork or mechanical issues and it's ready to drive away.
