Up for Auction and selling NO RESERVE is this 1971 Dodge Demon 340. This Mopar Muscle Machine has underwent an extensive frame off rotisserie restoration with exceptional attention to detail by a Mopar Muscle Enthusiast. The alignment and panel fit on this car is perfect. laser straight body. and exceptional exterior finish and a underside you could eat off. chassis is beautiful.
The drive-train has been completely rebuilt including a stout . 030 over 340 CID V8 that was professionally rebuilt by Allen Armstrong Racing engines. completely balanced and blue printed with all the goodies! The rebuilt 833 - 4 Speed Transmission shifts perfectly and is a blast to drive. take this car anywhere as its ultra reliable and was built to drive! The owner has only put under 7000 miles since the restoration and has taken the car to Mopar Muscle Car meets thousands miles away last 3 years after the restoration was completed. powered for performance and brimming with beauty this Mopar Muscle car is ready for a new home.

Demon History - Only Produced For Two years (71-72)

1971 saw the addition of the all new Dodge Demon to the Dart lineup. Based on the Plymouth Duster. it was a pillared two-door fastback with a 108" wheelbase (three inches shorter than other Darts) and was available in two trims. The base Demon had the 198 cid I6 standard and minimal equipment. all for the bargain price of $2. 43. just $30 more than the Duster.

Performance minded buyers went for the Demon 340. /strong> the spiritual successor to the Dodge Dart GTS. The Demon 340 featured Chrysler's strong 340 small block rated at 275 bhp. (this balanced and blue printed 340 - 350HP rated a bit higher :)  A three speed fully synchronized floor shift was standard. along with the Rallye instrument cluster. heavy-duty suspension. E70x14 rubber. stripes. and dual exhausts.

As shown on this Demon. options included a dual-scoop matte-black hood complete with hood pins . rear spoiler. "Tuff" steering wheel. four-speed manual transmission and upgraded interior.

The Sizzler Package!

At mid-year. the Demon Sizzler became available. Based on the base Demon. the Sizzler added some of the 340's appearance and trim pieces. 15 options could be added. Bucket seats. carpeting. hood treatment. rallys. raised lettering on the tires. Tuff steering wheel. and dual mirrors and of course featuring little cartoon "devil" decals as shown on this car which didn't sit well with some religious groups. but definitely added to the Demon's flair.
