The Morris Minor was produced from 1948 until 1971. With distinctive looks and fine road manners. the Minor is still great fun to drive today. Early cars had side-valve engines. followed by OHV engines. first 803. then 948 and finally 1100cc. The Traveller versions are appreciating in value and are very practical so many are used as every day cars.

This car is a 1971 Morris Minor Traveller in its original colour of Bermuda Blue. The mileage reading is just 67k which is likely to be correct but there is not enough history for me to guarantee. It is an older restoration in very good condition and is fitted with some very useful extras – front disc brakes with servo. an alternator. heated rear windows. electric screenwash. inertia belts and “Newton Commercial” front seats with rear trimmed to match. The seats will not please originality experts but they transform the driving experience!

At some time in this cars life it has been through the hands of Charles Ware and it is obvious looking underneath that it has had a very high quality restoration – the underside is as good as we have seen. The timber is also in excellent condition. The upper body is rust free and the paint finish is good but there are some minor imperfections. On the road this striking Traveller drives beautifully.

This Traveller offers excellent value – the best restored and upgraded examples are now £15k plus. It is also a great practical classic that can be used every day. Comes with 12 months MOT.
