Estate Sale Find:  1979 GMC 1500 Sierra Grande Suburban in good condition. Owners of this Suburban liked this type of truck and has taken pride in owning it. Over the years replaced painted or repaired it and back on the road it went. The suburban has been garaged and was last used four years ago to a trip to Mexico from Lynden WA. No troubles and was serviced and returned to storage.  The truck starts up and runs good no smoking or signs of any engine problems. Single exhaust and no leaks or damage noticeable. The engine is a 305 chevy motor that was installed by a local mechanical shop. It is not the original motor and been replaced by the chevy 305. Claimed his milage at the time of the trip to Mexico was 12 to 20 miles her gallon.
The A/C works as well as the heaters and fan!
Transmission has been replaced and is not the original. Transmission is a manual four speed on the floor. The truck can be started from 2nd gear and shifts nicely. The first gear is a stump puller very low gear.

Looking the suburban over on the outside found small dents scrapes and surface rust. The doors open and close with no problem and latch correctly.  A role up and down door handle in working condition for the back window . Back door drops down and closes with a good hard slam. Over all looking at the outside seems good there is some over spray noted in some arias and the raised surface rust has been pictured for you to look closer.
Interior looks good as well with rips in the drivers seat and was covered with a seat cover at the time we took pictures. All the seats and latches work to open fold or remove. There is an added feature to the back to be able to in tall a loft. It was professionally done with plywood and vinyl cloth upholstery that matches the interior. This loft was able to give them stackable storage for thier long trips.
The truck starts and runs good. drives well with no noticeable troubles. It could clearly be driven across country today.  Look the pictures over carfully and ask questions. Check your shipping cost before you commit to buying!
