With an eye to dispose of bothersome competition in the form of high-power Mustangs and GTOs. Plymouth borrowed its expensive GTX chassis. removed unnecessary trim and high-end options and equipment-for cost and weight savings. and unleashed an onslaught of savage. unrestricted. and unrefined street power against its rivals.

The car which quickly came to dominate quarter miles across the country. has now become an icon of the muscle car genre. as well as. one of the most valuable and increasingly sought after collectibles in the modern collector car market. By 1968. many muscle cars had become loaded down with options. driving the prices upward. but the 1968 Roadrunner was as simple and pure as the Grandfather of the muscle car era. the 1964 GTO.

Finished in Bright Metallic Blue over a brand new. blue Legendary interior. this 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner has just had a comprehensive. 2 year. nut and bolt rotisserie restoration. The car was completely disassembled down to a bare shell and has been rebuilt from the ground up using a combination of new and restored parts. Since the restoration. the car has just test miles on it and is a shining example from top to bottom. Every screw. nut and bolt on the body has been handled and most are brand new from front to rear. All of the glass has been replaced as has all of the stainless trim and the chrome bumpers. The often neglected rear tail panel is in mint. show condition and all of the lenses are new. The undercarriage received the same attention to detail as the top of the car. All of the hardware is new from from to rear and the brakes and suspension have been completely rebuilt.

Unable to resist the awesome power of the 440 CI engine. the original 383 was forgone in exchange for a freshly built and highly detailed 440 CI torque monster. attached to the bullet proof Torque Flight transmission. Combined with a limited slip rear end. the car jumps off the line and pulls very hard through all of the gears. The Roadrunner runs cool as a cucumber around town in hot weather and is the perfect muscle car cruiser.

The resulting ride of this MOPAR matches what this car felt like right off the showroom floor. It is a complete restoration from front to rear and drives like one. Any MOPAR enthusiast with an eye for detail will surely appreciate this wonderfully restored muscle car.
