1967 Kaiser M715 Jeep previously assigned to the US Forest Service. Big Laramie WY. Truck is in excellent shape and I can't find any 'cancer' anywhere. nbsp;there is some surface rust in the bed and floorboards. and I mean light surface rust. ut minimal at that. Truck did not run when I got it but that was corrected with a new coil. The gas tank has been drained and refilled - there was only a few particles that came out of the tank. The gas in it was not re-used (except in my garden tractor). New gas was added.  Oil has been changed and the spark plugs inspected and cleaned. with very little carbon build up. Tires are in good shape with plenty of tread left. All fluids were drained/replaced with no metal filings in any thing. This is the 4th M715 that I have had and by far the cleanest. Being assigned to a Fire Station they took real good are of it. 2 new batteries. Replaced tail lights with new lights from a M35 so that they are more visible and safer. The 4 search lights mounted on the bed all work but are disconnected at this time. They were wired off the first battery to obtain 12 volts for these lights the light bar on top and several other pieces of firefighting gear.  HOWEVER. this method of obtaining 12 volts drains the first battery and it never gets recharged as much as the other battery and eventually goes bad (suitable for minor use but not continuous or big loads). the wires are still in place but I would recommend installing a 24 to 12 volt transformer. otherwise you'll be charging the one battery a lot. I don't know if the light bar works as I never hooked up a transformer. I replaced the turn signal arm and light switch with new surplus M35 gear. All lights work correctly. Fiberglass top could use new gaskets around windows. Has a spare tire mounted under bed. not sure if condition but it holds air.
This truck is licensed and current inspection and is driven several times a week. but not on the Highway. (too slow).
known PROBLEMS/Deficiencies:1. there are 2 small dents in passenger door. 2. Carburator may need rebuilt. Cheyenne WY altitude is over 6. 00 feet and I don't know if the jets were ever re-done. Dallas TX altitude is about 400 feet. 3. Choke cable needs replaced. stuck. hard to operate. 4. Missing latch button from glove box door5. Fiberglass top could use new gaskets around windows (I think this truck was originally a soft top). 6. would benefit from a full tune-up.
As with most vehicles this age there are some oil leaks. There may be other deficiencies not noted but I am unaware of them or they are very minor. No warrantee expressed or implied. Sold As-is. Where is. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.
