One of Two

This 1966 Plymouth Sport Fury III Convertible is truly one of a kind. or. well. one of TWO that was built in the U. S.  In 1966 there was a limited run of 113 cars from the factory with the 440 as a line item.  Of these 113. only two were convertibles. and it is unknown if the other convertible still is in existence.  This one. however. came from the factory with Air Conditioning. power windows. and power driver's seat. as well as leather interior.  The top is beautiful and works well.  The two front windows work well. the pass side rear when it wants to. and the driver's side rear one doesn't work.  The electric driver's seat does not work. either. but all seems to be there for some TLC.  The air conditioning vents are in place. but the compressor and front-of-radiator unit were disconnected years ago. but are still in the trunk.  This car lived the last 40+ years locally in the Richmond area. and I purchased it in June. 2012.  I had it put into good running condition. but had no idea at first the rarity of what I had purchased.  Golan's Tag Service (GTS) is sending the authentication papers. but I have by email the breakdown of what they are sending about it's rarity.  
This car is truly worthy of restoration.  Anything that was taken off the car was provided to me by the widow of the gentleman who owned the car for years and years. and I believe it to be complete. down to the dual snorkel air cleaner. air conditioning parts. etc.  Also. there are extra window switches and extra exterior trim.  I have the fender skirts that go on it as well.  There is a rust hole in the trunk. and the trim. as you may expect. has some pitting.  Both the front and rear bumpers have dings.  The speedometer is not working. but is in place.  There is a steering-column mounted tach that does work.  Original manifold is also in the trunk. and many other parts that were removed over the years.  The hood scoops were added by the last owner. and do NOT penetrate the hood.  They can be removed and the hood repaired with a minimum of damage.  The car currently has a valid Virginia state safety inspection and is a fun daily driver.
Again. the value in this car is its rarity.  It starts. it drives. the top goes up and down. and it turns heads !!  I would love to sell it to someone to take and restore it and love it----or to make crowds ooooh and awwwe at the next muscle car show or auction.
