I am relisting my 190sl which I purchased in 1975. This 1960 Mercedes 190sl (121040-10-019208) Indiana Title as a 1961 Indiana VIN 019208 with 69. 20 miles.   I am 68 years old just had eye surgery (can do nothing) and need to down size so it's time to sell. I have included additional information in this relisting to help understand what is being put up for bid. I also received several calls most asked two questions. What is the reserve and do I have a buy it now price? There is no reserve but the starting bid is $55. 00. 00 and the buy it now is $65. 00. 00. I also have spare part that will be included for an additional $500. 00 if buyer wants items with all shipping costs up to the buyer.

The major things done before I started driving were replaced floor panel. repaired body rust and paint. The body metal is original and there was body rust that was repaired with metal patches. fiberglass resin plus cloth and filler. The rust was in normal 190sl rust areas.  All repairs were taken to clear surface. treated with rust converter (phosphoric acid)  and repaired in one of the above methods. underside of fenders were also treated and painted. Additional  repairs done in the last 2. 00 miles. replaced clutch. replaced clutch pilot bearing. replaced pressure plate. replaced motor mounts. replaced bad tie-rod ends. replaced emergency brake cables and housing. rebuilt brake booster. rebuilt brake master cylinder. replaced brake flex lines. replaced propeller shaft  flex disc. replaced  seat covered in original color blue leather. all fluids changed. replaced tires. repainted to original color. replaced water pump. replaced windshield lower seal . replaced  door & trunk weather stripping. added an electric fuel pump for priming off the choke light. wheel cylinders rebuilt. repaired exhaust header leak and added fuel tank vent. I also made the convertible top frame and using Sunbrella Supreme Navy/Linen CAN9446-1 marine grade fabric for the top. tonneau cover and top boot cover.

The car has a factory hard top repainted (it has a small dent above rear window) but the head liner shows its age. The OEM radio stopped working; there is a working radio under the dash. The clock isn't OEM but is a VDO. The car was repainted in 2009 to the original color DB 334 light blue and has the original interior color blue leather.    I have ½ hide of the proper blue leather. some paint. a few tools   and a car cover that will be included in the SL sale.   There is a door. trunk. glove box key and an ignition key. Known problems. stone bulls eyes in windshield (see pictures). heater coil on passenger side has a leak and is closed off. chrome needs to be redone and a few paint chips.

This 190sl ran and drives well I took it out of winter storage and went for  a  drive. it's a really stands out. a very good looking car. I would give it a HAGERY rating of 3. 3 giving it a Dec. 2013 value of $92. 00 but it is up to the bidder to determine the value. You could drive it for a few years and then do a major restoration including chrome and by that time who knows what it would be worth. I have seen people asking $ 300. 00 for a perfect 190sl. I have an Indiana “AFFIDAVIT FOR INSPECTION ANTIQUE VEHICLE” from the State Police for the car.  I have only driven it on short trips the last few years so if the winner plans to drive home I suggest having the car inspected before the trip. I would be happy to answer any questions cell phone 219 613-0752 (if I don't answer I will get back to you) or internet learmanfl@prodigy. net or ebay.  I can also share the history I was told from the owner I purchased the car from 39 years ago but I have no proof of his story.

I also have new parts. used parts. tune-up equipment. and manuals (see pictures) that will be included for an additional $500. 00 dollars if you were to purchase these parts on Ebay it would be over 3 times as much. Shipping costs will be up to buyer but most should fit in the car. if the buyer wants items shipped in the car.   A few of the new items  are  intake-exhaust gasket. tachometer cable. speedometer cable. 2 carburetor rebuild kits. replacement side rear view mirror glass. oil filters. cam chain guide rails and more. A few of the  used parts are starter. generator. brake parts. 4 hub caps. voltage regulator. 2 stone guards . timing light. carburetor synchronizer. dwell meter. 90sl service manual. Glenn's Mercedes Repair and tune up. winddhield wiper arm. rear axles. right front axle and more. Some of the items are shown in a couple of pictures.

The car is in Dyer Indiana near Chicago I suggest the bidder inspection the car because the car is nice but not perfect or of conscious quality. I have not shipped a car before but it seems simple using DAS and I can assist at this end.
