Beautiful 1957 India Ivory over Tropical Turquoise 4 door sedan. The car has a strong 283 engine and a power glide transmission. The original air cleaner has been replaced with a dry filter air cleaner and the vacuum wipers have been replaced with an electric system. The original clock is installed but does not run. The hands can be moved freely and the clock is likely good but needs to be sent in for cleaning and lube. I have restored several cars of this era and that is likely the case on the clock. Otherwise the car is in original condition. It drives very well and has good rubber on the wheels and the brakes are in good working condition. There is virtually no surface rust under the car or elsewhere. Defiantly no rust out areas or obvious body repairs. Please see the photos for the wheel well area on all four wheels. There are no obvious dents or repairs on the body and the lines are straight and smooth. The car has the original gold colored trim on the exterior that it originally came out with. The antifreeze test -37 degrees. We list the car with a buy-it-now price and DO accept offers. The car is listed locally so I reserve the right to end the auction early in the event it is sold locally. No rusted out places, 99% of under side is under coated. Owned the car for over 20 years garaged at all times. Bought it in New Mexico, a very dry climate. The car is clean and starts, runs and drives as you would expect. There are no indications of being wrecked or repaired that I can see. Had it on jack stands to look at under side and it is in excellent condition. Brakes are good the tires good and the engine is sound and powerful. The transmission is a power glide and shifts properly. The radiator had some white streaking on the front when I bought it, but has never leaked in the time I have had the car. I started it and drove it a mile or two every month to keep the seals fresh and parts lubed. I have many more photos than are shown here as well as videos. Hosting sites are listed in the description above. Buyer must make a $2000.00 payment in certified funds, within 48 hours of end of auction. I will provide instructions to the buyer for payment. Balance of the payment can be made by check or money order within ten (10) days of the end of the auction. A cash payment for a balance can be made in person at my bank at the time of pickup. The car will not be released for pick-up or delivery until full payment has been made and has cleared.
