This car is very special. First. its only had 2 owners and  its only  been driven a mere 71. 58 miles in its entire life!  Second. the color combination is beautiful. Anthacite gray metallic with gray leather interior.   New car colors!  Not dated colors.  In addition it has also just been serviced to the hilt.   NO EXPENSE SPARED!  AND it comes with a record of every service all the way back to 1986!  These sedans were the last of the "real" Mercedes. Totally overbuilt. tough. with solid good looks and a drive to match. Stately and elegant they were very expensive new. This car was purchased for $47. 06. 55. a shocking figure at the time. and is fully loaded. It even has a reclining rear seat!
     This car was bought brand new at Autohauz MB. Dallas. Texas on August 13th. 1986 by the original owner where it remained and was meticulously Dealer maintained until it was sold in 2013. This car was loved and babied its whole life. I have records of every trip it made to the dealer from 1986 to 69. 91 miles.  I have a computer print out of the cars' work history from the Dealer in chronological order.  These documents are only released to the original owner and are nearly impossible to come by.  VERY RARE!  Dont miss out on your chance to own the nicest W126 LWB Mercedes-Benz Diesel "Saloons" offered on Ebay in a long time! This car is original.  
     The body of the car is in excellent condition and has been extremely well maintained. NO rust. The paint is excellent. It shines like new. Very Glossy. There is only one small touch up on the passenger side door where it had a ding from a shopping cart. The dent was professionally removed and touched up. Not noticeable. The car has been completely inspected front to back and is as solid as a rock as any well cared for garaged car should be. The sunroof slides and tilts perfectly and at the correct speed. No leaks. The very important Mercedes front grille assembly looks brand new. The glass is all original Mercedes factory and perfect all around. The windshield looks brand new. Chrome on the entire car is brilliant and excellent. All exterior gasketing around windows. doors. hood and trunk look fresh and plump. Front and rear bumpers have no scratches or scrapes anywhere.  The car looks as nice as the day it rolled off the Mercedes lot. The photos tell the story. Original wheels are in excellent condition with no curb rash. I just mounted and balanced 4 brand new Premium Toyo tires so tires are perfect.  
     The interior is in pristine original condition all around. It looks new! Its life long garage storage is obvious at close examination of the crack and fade free interior. The dove gray leather has obviously been conditioned on a regular basis. They are in incredible condition. The color is modern looking and makes it a pleasure to sit in. Seats are all in excellent condition and look new. which shows the quality of the S class. The dash and door panels are in like new condition with no cracks or damage to be noted anywhere. No kick marks on door panels. All wood is in excellent condition with no scratches. looks new. No sun fading on rear window deck or on back of rear leather headrests. The headliner is perfect. Instrument cluster is perfect. Gauges and dials look new with no fading at all. still bright with high contrast. Original Becker Grand Prix radio is perfect looking. Car has never been smoked in. Ashtrays and cigarette lighters are perfect. All lights and switches work and light at night (23?).  Electric windows. seats. headrests. antenna. steering column. heated rear window. outside temperature indicator. locking system. climate control all work as they should. First Aid Kit in place unopened. Carpets are in excellent condition. Rear left passenger carpet has small stain in the least noticeable area on the interior. The car has BRAND NEW Mercedes OEM floor mats that perfectly match the gray interior.  Trunk is in excellent conditon as is carpet. no stains. Original jack and tools needed  to change tire are in place with spare tire and wheel. No leaks of any kind in passenger compartment or trunk.

Mechanically. this SDL runs BEAUTIFULLY!  as it should. The Diesel always starts instantly. Even when the car is covered in ice. No smoke at warm idle from exhaust. Diesel runs at proper temperature of 82 degrees. never hot. Diesel runs very quiet and smoothly. No hood shake. This diesel has 6 cylinders which only came with the LWB W126. Lots of torque. Turbo works great and engine has lots of power. It can roar. The W126 LWB Diesel is the most desireable model today.  They offer long life. reliability. simplicity of maintenance and lower cost of ownership. Not to mention high resale value. Parts are easily available.  This one is so quiet you can barely hear it. There is a double firewall. encapsulation panels underneath and extra thick door mouldings. In addition this model year marked the debute of the 2nd Generation W126. Body remained the same (for 11 years!) but mechanically was much improved in every area. All suspension components have been inspected and are in good order. Including bushings. A/C blows cold. Steering is tight as are the brakes. No pulling. looseness at all. NO squeaks or rattles. Transmission is great and just had a super major service. Transmission fluid is clear red. Shifts into forward or reverse imperceptibly. Shifts as smooth as silk. Tracks like a freight train. dead staight. Disc brakes work great feel great. It drives as good now as the day it rolled off the lot. This is what comes from meticulous maintenance and it shows in the way the car drives. The car is tight and right as with any low mileage car should be. Clean Autocheck. no accidents. etc. Records also show that the car has the new upgraded reinforced Behr radiator. made in Germany. and new thermostat. 4 wheel alignment. Fan belt replaced and belt tensior shock replaced.  
NO LEAKS. DIESEL ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION ARE BONE DRY.
Obviously. I meant to keep the car which is why I didnt mind spending so much money but circumstances have changed. My wife wants the parking space for her new car. I am sorry to have to sell it.   I have just spent nearly $5. 00. 00 having it gone over.  Its a beautiful car and a pleasure to drive. I only use it to drive to my health club. just 2 miles away. Keeping it outside pemanently would be a travesty.
 Its a gem. People love it.
All in all. this is the nicest and best documented SDL you will ever see. This Mercedes-Benz is a fantastic car for the price. I know the prices for these cars. Even at the BUY IT NOW price this car is a bargain condsidering its magnificent condition. beautiful colors. and documented service history. not to mention the time and money I just spent on it.   Its not often you see one serviced to this level BEFORE its sold. More often its being sold because it needs at least this amount of attention. A dealer can not afford to bring a car up to this level. Of course. this is a huge bonus to the buyer.  My loss is your gain. You dont have to wonder what service it needs. its all been done. There is an invoice. The next major maintenance interval is 30K miles away. I have a 100% positive Ebay feedback rating.
This is a once in a  lifetime opportunity. Chances are you will never see another one as nice as this.
Having described the car as best I can. it is also 28 years old and is not perfect. Nothing is and as with anything. there is always something that might or might not need doing depending on your own level of intensity.
