Land Rover Series 1 86” Regular Soft Top

 

·         Ex Ministry of Defence. and according to markings found under the old paintwork. it had served with The Royal Horse Artillery. Unfortunately. there is no other documented history of the vehicle.

 

·         Though identifiable as a 1955-56 vehicle. it was not registered until 1963. possibly due to being in military service and not decommissioned until this date.

 

·         It has been fitted with the superior Land Rover 2 ¼ Petrol Engine. which runs and drives perfectly.

 

·         Fitted with Free-Wheeling Front Hubs.

 

·         Since acquiring the vehicle. we have carried out the following restoration work:

o   Full Re-spray in Land Rover Bronze Green

o   Engine Oil & Filter Change

o   Replacement Plugs Fitted

o   New Front & Rear Brake Wheel Cylinders Fitted

o   New Brake Fluid

o   New Front Brake Shoes

o   Passenger Side Footwell Replaced

o   New Weber Carburettor

o   New Exmoor Trim Seats

o   New Exmoor Trim Hood and Hood Sticks

o   New Front & Rear Lights

 

·         The Chassis and Bulkhead are in very good condition.

 

·         The Engine. Gearbox and Transmission are all in perfect working order.

 

·         This vehicle passed its MOT last week with no advisories.
