(1/4 of its life)I have cared for this car respectfully during my ownership and feel i have done it justice in that time. But regrettably am having to sell due to an impending house sale and lack of storage. currently locked in the back of where i work but cant stay there for any longer. This has been an awesome car to own and it gets a great amount of attention wherever it goes. this car will change your life. fully resprayed back in october 2010 in original ford f4 purple velvet. although im suspicious as to whether the guys who painted it didnt put a little metal flake in with the mix?fully polybushedre-cored radiator1'' lowered springs from burton power with new shocks up front (old springs also included in sale)reconditioned front calipersnew discs and pads up frontnew drums. shoes and cylinders out backnew fuel tank (painted in hammered silver for preservation)new exhaust system front to back (original manifold)new sillswhole front end completely solidengine rebuilt back in 2010. has 64700 miles on the clock. and although i cannot prove that it hasnt been round. judging by the overall condition of the car and the engine internals. i have no dispute that this is not genuine!!Has a cooler opening 82 degree thermostat from burton power. which works really well. cylinder head skimmed and has hardened valve seats. so can run on unleadedauto box runs lovely and smooth. has a blue-tooth compatible pioneer head unit and jbl 6x9's in the back. but the original stereo and speakers that came with the car will also be included in the sale. as well as a few other spares. MOT'D til 7th June 2015 - with 5 advisories; 3 of which are on 3 tyres being low on tread. 1 is for play in the steering rack (have fitted new steering rack yeaterday and had tracked) the other was for play in the prop shaft uj which im collecting from dave mac props in cov this morning - reconditioned. so just the tyres to worry about. but they do look cool!
This cortina will get you wherever you need to go and i can honestly say that in my 10 years of ownership. she has never let me down!! i was using this as my daily driver up until last october. but due to our crap whether decided to lock her up for a bit. ut thats coming to an end. the last major journey she did was down to London in september 2013 which was a good 220 mile round trip. she never missed a beat!!
The good points of this car out-weigh the bad. and with only minor imperfections such as a small hole on the rear seat arm rest. some age related sun damage to top of back seat. the odd small chip/scratch here and there with minor spots bubbling on the body.  You WILL NOT be disappointed.
the paper work doesnt go beyond 2001 so thats all the history i have for her. but the ford-sure folder is fantastic. with a certificate for underseal. audio accessories book and general accessories book as well as owners manual.
im sure i may have missed alot out but its hard to remember everything!
there is currently no road tax. but if new owner wants. i can tax at there expense which will be added to the final sale value
