I have a very rare Jaguar super cat twin cam Engine with 30 years of competition a distinguished engineering pedigree sports Cabriolet  one of only 130 built by Aston-Martin-Tickford (AMT) from 1982-1985 for Jaguar.
This XJS-C According to the XJ-SC register one of the Aston Martin Tickford XJSC Jaguar of which none were exported-in fact the AMT cars were built for the home market and only a few were made in left hand drive. My car is Right Hand Drive Manual. Only around 50 cars are know to survive worldwide and this is one of them.
Some mystery surrounds the development of these cars. AMT was set up by Aston-Martin to do small production runs of specialist cars - for example the RS 200 and Tickford Capri. They also developed the XJ-SC super cat - although Jaguar only credit them a small role. Tickford owners club which show almost all the XJ-SC development was done by AMT. Jaguars archives have no development photos of the project. However. the man in charge of development at AMT had a disagreement with Jaguar - AMT production of cars was very slow and Jaguar halted AMT involvement - they took up to 6 months to complete a car! No one at Jaguar or AMT will discuss details of the XJ-SC development. However the fact that all the photos are held by AMT (now Tickford owners club) and not by Jaguar tends to suggest Jaguar had very little involvement. However the XJ-SC was used by Jaguar to developed the full convertible launched in 1988 (under Ford). So. The XJ-SC is the last of William Lyons and Malcom Sayers great masterpieces. built during Sir John Egans chairmanship of an independent Jaguar - so it is the last True Jaguar sports car!
As for my car. it's completely original. and in excellent condition. I have lots of history on this car. Full Service history from New 19 stamps in the Jaguar service Book. The very spacial drilled Aluminum finish inside this car still has the plastic coating on it.
as I believe it is the only around 30 of its kind left. Being the 5 speed manual its faster and out performs the V12 and has excellent fuel economy-I've owned two V12s and this car is not a fast lazy cruiser it's a true super cat sports car. Aston Martin also modified the chassis of these early cars and it shares the same set up as the DB7 (which is based on this car). The engine is well turned for performance and does not have the refinement you normally expect with Jaguars. With the side sports exhaust it's a loud fast car. The Jaguar made cars - even 3. 6 manuals are more refined but lack the performance of the AMT cars.
If your interested in more information or if any of you would like to view the car let me know. As I said these cars are super rare - only a few well informed Jaguar enthusiasts know of their existence. Few have seen one. it took me 4 years to find this one in the uk. The back inbound brakes have just had a completely overhaul. New Calipers. New hand Brake Pads. New Disks. New Brake Pads. New Brake Pipes. Any one who knows about XJS Brakes will know this is one big Job and now you dont need to worry about this job for the next 30 years. This was Jaguars own car for the 1st part of its life. Please note I will require £500 deposit at the end of this listing on the winner of the bid within 2 days.
If your interested in the car then let me know. Paul 07971059134 uk

Hi There
Nice when someone gets it right You Cabriolet is indeed one of the Tickford Cabbies so many claim to be but are not. Yours body number 5Y001113 is actually number 67 of a total of 5,013 built and was originally a Jaguar Cars Company Vehicle.
