For-sale a 1989 Citroen 2CV Dolly
This car was featured in the last series of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip and driven by Sophie Ellis-Bexter and Janet Ellis and was featured in the opening credits
When we brought this car in 2012 she was a wreck and has had a full restoration done by a specialist garage completed in 2013
The car was taken apart and had the doors. boot. bonnet and the interior taken out then sanded down to the bare metal. After that she was welded back together and became tough as old boots and then wax-oyled to keep that nasty salt away. since then been kept in dry storage
Now the engine. we replaced all the pipes and cables then given a full service and replace parts that needed doing and she now starts without much choke required.
Underneath the car she had new kingpins. wheel bearings. hubcaps. disks and brake pads and a complete new exhaust
The electrics were replaced too and they now all work. quite useful for things like lights (they are new too) and brake lights
The seats were tatty and they were done too with new webbing and springs for support. new foam and new seat covers and replaced the seat belts
Decided that all the work was done that we better sort the panels out and they were in good condition. so they were cleaned and prepared and had a new paint job
The roof. we didn't do anything with that since I liked the deck chair look and though it looks faded it adds to the charm
This car now drives like new and with a 11 month mot and so many parts she is ready for the summer and that lovely hot weather.
Buyer will collect or we can arrange delivery after payment received.
