You are bidding on 1956 Chevrolet 6400 Fire Truck. This is your chance to own a piece of American history. It has a 3. 8 straight 6 engine that's only covered 21487 miles. It was used by Reading Township volunteer Fire Department in Illinois until 2005. The truck is mainly intact and everything seems to work as it should although I havnt checked if the pump works. It runs and drives well and the engine sounds sweet. It still has all flashing lights and sirens which all work. The truck is registered in the UK with the V 5 document present. It is MOT exempt and road tax is free. The Registration Number has been valued at £1000 by "Reg Transfers". The truck only weighs 5. 14 tons. so can be driven on a normal driving licence. I was wondering if this 1956 Chevy Was still for sale? This would be our old fire truck for Reading Fire In Streator IL.
