This 911 SC was delivered new on 22 nd November 1982 and is an 83 model year car. Chassis number WPOZZZ 91 ZDS 140333. model number 911431. engine number 63 D 1005
It's currently mot'd to end of june and taxed till july. It has 112700 mileson and has a stamped service book up to 100000 miles. Now that the weatheris better I am using it to travel to and from work. The exterior bodyworkwas repainted last year. glass out. doors. bumpers. bonnet and boot removedand taken back to bare metal. All the remaining panels were again taken backto bare metal and resprayed in the original schieferblau metallic. The targa bar was also removed (prepared and resprayed black) to get the rear window out. Door jams and kidney bowls on both sides were replaced with genuine Porschepanels. 16" Fuchs wheels were cleaned up and repainted. The interior is original. carpets. door cards. seats etc. but some of therear interior vinyl has been replaced.
Targa roof is original. It's ok but could do with kit to replace the sealson the sides. All of the rubber parts interior and exterior have beenreplaced with a few exceptions of bits that were hard to get or long leadtime. Windscreen is a 964 conversion. the original 911 SC windscreen rubberand locking strip is extremely difficult to get hold of. it gives a muchbetter seal and a smoother finish.
Mechanically the car is sound. It has the 915/62 gearbox. The 915 box has quite a long throw and the oil has to be warm to effect a smooth change. when warm the change is light and precise. I had the car serviced when I bought it in January 2012. all filters. beltsand oils including gearbox oils. I have replaced the rear brake calipers andpads all round. It has stainless steel heat exchangers and a new silencer. It has good oil pressure and oil temperature never goes above half way.
It has the space saver spare wheel and original tool kit and 2 keys.
