Very Rare Find! One of ONLY 271 known imported Left Hand Drive Crowns 

This Crown was one of very few sold in NorthAmerica

In all my years playing with cars I have never seen one in person.   Orig owner drove this as his second car from 1963 to 1968 when it was replaced and put in the garage.   The car sat in the garage and was moved from time to time.   The orig owner past away in 1974 and the car was given to a family member that never drove or picked up the car it was placed in a covered porch area.   in 1993 the orig owners wife sold the car to a neighbor  and she past in 2002.

The car has the owners manual from the Dealership when he bought the car new. /p>

This car is amazing the body is SOLID! Has very Cool patina. Car is only orig paint once and most of it has burned off. Look her over she is solid.  

This car was bought in the interior of BC and is still here.

This is a 66. 00 mile car.   

The car has been washed for pictures

paint is original factory paint .  yes most is burnt off from the years of sun etc.   but this is factory paint.   You can see there has never been a touch up or accident.   A very rare orginal car! 

Engine turns over great and runs but trans need service to drive her. brakes were done before she was taken off the road. tires on orig 13 rims are as new.

 I tell it as it is no game. no smoke and mirrors!

Glass is all near perfect minor scratches no cracks or issues.

Car comes with the orig rims and 2 caps .   The magnum 500 in the pictures are great period rims to discuss.

History ON THIS SERIES OF THE CROWN

Due to the introduction of the Corona. the dramatically restyled and enlarged Series S40 was launched in 1962. and saw the introduction of the Custom model. According to the Japanese Wikipedia article for the Crown. the styling was said to be influenced by the recently introduced Ford Falcon in 1960. The front grille approach has a similar appearance to the 1960 Imperial Crown (Chrysler). which speaks to Toyota's aspirations that the Crown be a large. comfortable sedan. The station wagon body style carried over from the previous generation Masterline. but with more attention to the luxurious approach used on the Crown.

Headlights were integrated within the boundaries of the greatly enlarged grille. providing a clean. modern appearance. A 2-speed automatic transmission was introduced. called Toyoglide. with a column shift. A bigger and better car than the previous S30 series. it initially had four-cylinder R-series engines before the addition of the "M" six-cylinder engine in 1965. Deluxe and Super Deluxe models were available with added features. The sedan and wagon were known simply as the Crown while the commercial vehicles (coupe utility. double cab coupe utility (pick ups). and van) were known as the Masterline. There was also a limited run of the sedan known as the Toyota Crown S (MS41S) which featured a twin carburettor intake manifold on the 2. 0L M in-line-six engine and disc brakes on the front.

Very few RS40's were sold into North America. This is a very Rare and sought after car.   take this to a TOYOTA meet and see what you hear.

WOW .   I have a few rare Toyota's  a RA20 and a Ra21 ( 71. 2) both hard to find yet compared to this crown  they are a dime a dozen.

This is a collectors dream . If your a Toyota guy you may like the corolla supra celica. or a sunny but this is the luxury car. The grandfather of the Lexus any JDM lover will like this if your a 240Z 260Z 280Z Datsun guy or a RX Mazda person or a Honda fan this is an amazing collectible that few have ever seen.

it is missing the seats. carpet and will need panel attention .   but the patterns are there
